About this house rental
The “La Templière” vacation rental welcomes you to the hamlet of Avalleur, a historic site home to the Commandery and the 11th-century Templar chapel. Located 30 km from Troyes, this charming Champagne-style house features an enclosed, tree-lined garden and is ideally situated for exploring all the tourist attractions in the Aube department. First floor: kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom (tub + sink), separate toilet. Upstairs: three double bedrooms (160x200), bathroom (shower, sink, and toilet). Utilities not included: €7 to €15 per day depending on the season. Sheets, towels, and cleaning included. Electricity in summer: €7 per day. TOURIST ATTRACTIONS: “The Templars’ Trail”: Bar-sur-Seine and its surroundings will take you on a journey from the origins of the Knights Templar to the present day! The Forêt d’Orient Regional Nature Park is 20 km away; visit wine cellars and enjoy champagne tastings. Nigloland Park is 20 minutes away, and the city of Troyes—with its historical and architectural heritage and outlet stores—is 30 minutes away. For sports enthusiasts: canoeing and kayaking on the Seine, golf, fishing, biking (mountain biking and rides along the bike path), water sports on the lakes, and numerous hiking trails.

Nice country gite, modernised but could do with a little maintenance. Overgrown trees and shrubs. Plentiful hot water. Interesting electrics. Very surprised and displeased to be charged cash on arrival for cleaning, linen etc - issue to be resolved! Nice sitting in garden. Excellent location. Close to Templar site. Bar-sur-Seine lovely town, many bakeries, large Friday market.
