Enjoy picturesque Sunrises while you walk the Sandy Shores of Hammond Bay. This is a perfect place for a family vacation or a weekend get-a-way. Besides the miles of sandy beach just a short walk from the front door (400 ft), it is located only ten minutes from Oqueoc Falls, the largest falls in Lower Michigan. This vacation home is truly a haven for the outdoor enthusiast, summer or winter it has tons to offer: swimming, hiking, boating, fishing, Kayaking, motorcycling, quading, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.

This property is in a great location with beautiful beach access, we enjoyed the beach, Ocqueoc falls, and downtown Cheboygan (Step In, Cheboygan roasting, lighthouse park). Spacious cabin (plus toys and books) was great for kids. We were visiting family near by and will definitely check for this rental in the future. Thank you to the host for great stay!

This is a spacious home with all the comforts and amenities you need. Very clean, and comfortable beds. The beautiful sandy beach is only a few hundred feet away. This is a quiet calm area, with no stores or gas stations close by. There is one nice restaurant close by for dinners. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing vacation then this is the place! Family fun at the beach for sure! Bike riding and rock hunting just down the road at the lighthouse. Ocqueoc Falls was also great fun! Thank you for sharing your place with us Shannon and family! I was taken by surprise at the location when given directions by the host prior to check in. The map on VRBO and even my App directions (as well as the home listing) led us to believe that we would be on the beach or “just a few short steps from the water” in reality, the home is a 3-5 minute walk down a road to shared access on the beach, where you walk through the side yard of the homes on the beach. Be aware that the neighbors are not thrilled with a rental house down the lane, and be prepared to be questioned as to if you are supposed to be on the beach or walking past their homes. walked down at 520 am to watch the sunrise and was stopped and questioned by one of the homeowners on the beach as to why I was there. The home was clean and smelled fresh, though I had to clean around the toilet bases due to strong urine smell. There was no wifi in the unit and no cable or smart tv. I swore the original listing said there was basic cable, there is just a few local channels no dvd player as it was broken. The beds are very stiff and noisy, with very cheap bedding. There were 2 kitchen towels in the unit and not a single dishcloth, only a sponge. There were plentiful towels but only 5/6 washcloths. Very few extra blankets. The host was prompt to get us a new toaster when we let him know it was broken. Communication was a bit difficult as the host doesn’t like to communicate through the app and only wanted to talk over the phone. Poor cell service and no wifi made that hard.
