About this house rental
This Alpine retreat is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. It offers sweeping, in-your-face views of 13 to 14,000-foot San Juan peaks to the south and more distant views of the Cimarrons to the east.
The home is perfect for families, couples, or groups of friends. It includes 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a great room, a game room, and a dining room spread over two stories. Upstairs offers expansive views and includes a master bedroom, kitchen, and great room. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook your favorite meals, including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and appliances. It is well-provisioned with non-perishables, including quality spices/seasonings, cooking oil, sugar, and flour. The large deck offers stunning views of the mountains and is perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee, afternoon barbeque, or a glass of wine at sunset.
Downstairs includes 2 bedrooms, a well-stocked game room, and a full bath. A washer and dryer are in a separate laundry room. All bedrooms are equipped with humidifiers to help ensure your comfort in the dry mountain air.
The home is in a quiet neighborhood, just minutes from hiking and off-road trails. While secluded, it is readily accessible to the valley below. Downtown Ridgway has restaurants, shops, and groceries and is about 8 miles (20 minutes) on a well-maintained dirt and gravel road. Charming Ouray is a 30-minute drive through the spectacular Uncompahgre River valley.
You will feel like you are on top of the world. If you are lucky, you’ll see an afternoon shower, followed by clouds in the valley below and a double rainbow! At 8,900 feet elevation, the home offers breathtaking alpine beauty, ample groves of Aspens, and abundant wildlife. You will likely see plenty of deer, including those visiting in the front yard. The property was beautiful. Amazing views. close to many areas of interest. Need to move sign stating "no shoes on the carpet" to a better area. We were actually up the stairs before we saw the sign, as it is halfway up the stairs on a windowsill. We enjoyed reading about how the house is so environmentally made. really surprised when I opened the door on the wall to actually see the bale of hay.

What a stunning view of the mountains! We loved returning to such a wonderful place each day of our stay. The home is comfortable and spacious upstairs with views right out the main windows. The kitchen is well supplied and we enjoyed the board games available too.
Bill was very helpful throughout our stay with any additional information and support. We would love to stay here again if ever back in southwestern Colorado.
