Luxury Lake Retreat with a two Sauna Spa • Sleeps 12+, 300 yards from Bde Maka Ska

The host is a trained chef who works with Indian-fusion, Silk Road, and Ayurvedic culinary experiences. You can arrange a private dinner, a group breakfast, or a meal tailored around your preferences directly with him. Some guests barely use it. Others say it's the thing they remember most.
Two saunas come with the house, and they're worth understanding separately.
The steam sauna is on the second level, connected to the primary suite with radiant heated floors. Four people fit comfortably. It's a classic experience — heat, full humidity, the kind of session that loosens everything up after a day outdoors. The infrared sauna is on the third level, private and quieter. Full-spectrum with red light therapy. Low to high temperature, deeper effect — better for sleep, recovery, and winding down slowly. Most groups end up using both for different reasons.
The main level has its own jetted air bath tub, right next to the ground-floor bedroom — fully accessible without stairs, ideal for anyone who prefers to stay on one level.
Lake Bde Maka Ska beachfront is 300 yards from the front door. Walk to one of the best urban lakes in the country — swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and miles of trails in every direction. The neighbourhood around it is Uptown at its quietest: good restaurants, cafés, and wine bars all within easy reach on foot.
The house itself spreads across four levels. Six bedrooms, five bathrooms, eleven beds and a sofa bed — it sleeps 12+ without anyone feeling crowded. The layout earns that: a main living floor, a lower lounge, a dedicated suite floor, and a self-contained studio at the top. Families tend to use the levels to give kids and adults their own space. Friend groups tend to migrate between them.
Other things in the house: a 9-foot handcrafted shuffleboard on the main level, foosball downstairs, a spin bike, Smart TVs on every floor, fast Wi-Fi throughout. The backyard has a pergola — shaded, calm, the right place to have a coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. Golf at Theodore Wirth and Hiawatha is a short drive. Brewery bike tours to Northeast Minneapolis can be arranged if you want a guided afternoon out.
Two off-street parking spaces. Keyless entry. Central air and radiant heat throughout.
Yoga, massage, and wellness sessions can be arranged as add-ons. So can guided tours. All of it is optional — the house works well without any of it.

This was a well stocked and appointed home. The host was fantastic and very responsive. The inside of the home was very clean, the beds comfortable, the small touches throughout were perfect for the space. A couple of items to note:Our host was phenomenal. His customer service was spectacular and above and beyond what I had expected.The kitchen and bathrooms have several great products that are stocked throughout. The steam sauna is actually a steam shower in the master bedroom. It is of great quality, but not a sauna in a common space.There is not a hot tub, as listed on the description. There is, however, a 2-person jacuzzi tub in the main floor bathroom.There were coffee and great teas provided for our use. It was so appreciated! In addition, there was a delicious charcuterie board and bottle of wine greeting us upon arrival! It was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by our party!There is so much to do within walking distance. We enjoyed the lake, as well as restaurants and shops in the area. Parking was a breeze. There were two areas in the front, as well as two slots in the back for parking, which is difficult to secure in the area.The only reason that I did not give a full rating on the cleanliness of the property is due to the outside. There are several weeds that need to be sprayed, or pulled, on the back patio and curb. There has been a lot of rain in the area lately, so I understand it might be something that crept up on the property owners.

We had a tremendous time at this house, which was ideally located in a quiet neighborhood but only blocks from all sorts of nightlife. It was also no more than 20 minutes away from just about everywhere we wanted/needed to go (airport, Paisley Park, Minnehaha Falls) and about a 2-minute walk from Minneapolis' largest lake. Best of all was our host, Rupinder, who was responsive and went over-the-top on any request we had. A true highlight of the trip was our superb culinary experience with him, when we hired him to cook a delicious meal for our entire group, inside the home. Highly recommended.
