About this house rental
Retreat to this modern, family-friendly, Park City villa - perfect for year round enjoyment. Located in the SkyRidge community, Ursa Major is steps from the Jordanelle, directly accesses Deer Valley Resort's Express Gondola (complimentary shuttle) and is a short 7min drive to Main Street. Enjoy a sunset, or gaze at the stars, with the outdoor fire pit and hot tub. Ursa Major is spacious and comforting for friends and family to enjoy each other's company and Park City's amenities.
Ursa Major is a newly built home (construction completed June 2022) in SkyRidge. The house feels open and airy as light floods in from the floor to ceiling windows. Absolutely breathtaking panoramic views of the Jordanelle with a backdrop of Deer Valley and Mayflower slopes. Enjoy two expansive decks, a private hot tub and grill area and indoor/outdoor speakers. The main floor is home to a spacious master, living and dining area. The basement is a retreat for kids/friends with queen/queen/twin/twin bunkbeds and a media room. And the upstairs creates another living space and is home to three private bedrooms. Need a workout? The house has a Mirror for guests to enjoy yoga, barre, strength and cardio classes. Step outside and enjoy various hiking/biking trails, water-sports on the Jordanelle and complimentary door-to-door ski shuttles to the Jordanelle Express Deer Valley Gondola.
Ursa Major is a perfect year round retreat. To ski, call the SkyRidge Community Clubhouse and they will pick you up and drop you at the Jordanelle Express Deer Valley Gondola. To access the lake, follow trails in front of the house or head to the boat slip at the State Park.

We had our family of eleven at the property. The home has a great floor plan and allowed room for all of us to hang as one big group or break off into smaller groups. We really enjoyed our stay and would return.

The house was absolutely perfect for our group of 4 Dads and 4 Daughters. Beautiful furnishings and amenities. One thing to be aware of is the Jordanelle Gondola lot fills up by 8am most mornings so if you drive from the house you can’t park. The concierge shuttle service from house to Gondola worked well but need to reach out to owner if there is a change in pick up times… wish you could do that directly. Owners were very responsive and accommodating… just something to keep in mind. Great trip and would stay again!

Overall, this house was beautiful! The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with spices, lots of pots and pans, dishes, etc. We liked having the basement for the kids to hang out in their own area. There was plenty of space to park our cars. The layout was quite convenient, with a large mudroom for storing ski clothes and boots. We had booked this thinking that it it would be ski in ski out. However, in order to get to Deer Valley Jordanelle gondola, an 8 minute drive away, it was necessary to go through the owner to book a shuttle pick up at least 24 hours in advance. If the time we wanted was taken, we had to choose an alternate time. This took away any of the spontaneity of skiing when we wanted to. Luckily, a couple of people in our party were not skiing, so they could drive us to the gondola and pick us up there. However, I felt like we paid for a ski in ski out location which was not really the case. Also, we were forced to pay the entire cost of booking the house at least 6 months in advance. The owner did not want to budge much on providing a cancellation policy. I see that they have since updated their policies to match others on VRBO, so that is good.
