About this house rental
By the "Bassin d'Arcachon", between the forest and beaches, at the heart of the "Landes et Gascogne" natural park. A charming 135 m2 contempory villa on a level, entirely built of wood surrounded by approximately 120m2 of wood terraces. A pleasant swimming pool, salt treated and protected with an electrical roll back cover. The spacious veranda will enable you to enjoy the garden during the half-season.The house faces South/ South-West. Situated on the second row back from the street, it is a peacefull haven for your family holiday. Each bedroom opens onto a terrace.
The house, which has been classified 4 stars by the Gironde Tourism Board is available all the year round for stays of 4 days or more.
You will be given a personnal welcome, sheets are supplied and you will find the beds made up ready for you on arrival.
Although the house has a quiet "stay at home" feeling about it, there is plenty to dofor holiday makers in the area :
Ocean beaches 25mn away, less than 10mn away calm inner waters to swim in, ideal for small children.
Cycling on the 200 km cycle tracks around the Bassin within easy reach of the house (500m). Only 6 km away The Teich wild bird reserve can be an entertaining outing.
Discovering the well preserved natural beauties of the region: Arcachon,Dune du Pyla, Cap Ferret, oyster farms where you can taste and buy fresh oysters.....

The location in Biganos is in a great position for exploring the amazing Arcachon and surrounding area. There is so much to do.The house has so much personality and is incredibly peaceful.Sebastien is a great host and we had a lovely welcome.

As a family of four we loved our stay here. The pool and the inflatables provided were a big hit. We spent most of our time in the sun room which is a great space to dine and relax. The house was ideally situated to explore the area including Arcachon, Bordeaux and Dune de Pilat. Kitchen is very well equipped, and the welcome wine and local sweet treats provided by the host Sebastian were much appreciated. Good communication throughout.

I visited with my wife and two daughters (aged 7 and 9) in the last week of August. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can say it was the best rental we have ever had. The house was well decorated, maintained and had everything we needed and had a really nice feel, we didn't really want to go out!
The listing description was extremely good, no surprises or disappointments and Rebecca provided excellent customer service from the first enquiry to our departure, ringing us very promptly after we had left to let us know we had left something behind, so we were able to get back and accepting our very late arrival with extremely good grace.
It's a really nice area and plenty to do - our only regret was that we didn't have bikes with us - there were miles of beautiful bike tracks in the area, which we would have loved to cycle through.
I would definitely recommend this rental.

Apart from the holiday season, the house is the residence of the owner so everything you can imagine is present in the house. The house is exactly as described and shown on the pictures. It was nice and clean when we arrived. We felt at home immediately. The privacy in the garden is amazing! Villa Zen is really the correct name for this place. Rebecca, the owner, was very friendly. Nice to know that she stays only 10 minutes away. Whe did not need her though, because everything was just perfect and working well.
This is so much better than a small holiday house with standard equipment and maintenance. We really loved it! We thought so much about this house the week after, when we stayed in such a "standard apartment" in Bayonne!
Yes, it cost a lot of money, but if you can afford it: compared to other accomodations it is worth it.
There is really nothing negative to report about this house.
The only suggestion we could consider is a little bit more atmospheric light outside in the evening. (in the pool f.i.). That would be the finishing touch.
Biganos itself is very quiet. Bucherie only 5 minutes away for fresh bread in the morning. Very nice to visit the small harbour. The cycle path al around the Bassin d''Arcachon is excellent. In Arcachon take the ferry to Cape Ferret. It is a nice journey. Very nice to cycle on that side and the oysters are delicious .
