I would have to say the things that made the most impression on me was it was so QUIET!! All we heard were birds and the rustling of brush as a deer came out to visit. The cabin is small but has open ceiling with a spacious loft. The kitchen was small but had what we needed to fix meals. Plenty of towels and hot water was an appreciated plus! The hot tub was clean and hot to relax in. There wasn’t any yard but a spot to have a campfire. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the woods.

My teenage daughter and I recently had a wonderful stay! We loved the hot tub, comfy couch, well stocked kitchen and comfortable/separate bedrooms. The cabin was close to all of the trails we wanted to hike and was secluded enough to provide the peaceful retreat we were looking for! We would definitely book again if we return to the area for another getaway.

We had a nice time, some things of concern. the hot tub cover was broke and difficult to take off and on without help. some of the jets were missing and also the chlorine floater was broken due to the hot tub cover not working properly. The biggest problem was with the mice, this is clearly a problem and it seems that some traps need to be implemented. The counters were wiped often and mice droppings appeared the next morning, they also got into some of our food. Overall this was a decent stay.

It’s pretty private. The cabin was really nice. My only negative experience was the couch. It really needs replaced. There is wood visible and was super uncomfortable. Other than that it was fantastic. The host was awesome. Very responsive! Will go back

The property was excellent in every way. The cabin was clean and inviting, we felt very comfortable during our stay. The fire pit and hot tub made it even better. We liked the proximity to Hocking Hills State Park and other attractions. I know we will be going back to stay again.

This is a great cabin to go to its deep in the woods very secluded lots of wildlife outside and the cabin itself was fantastic very clean extra toys for kids very well setup just a great place to go highly recommend

This was the perfect cabin in the perfect location if you want to have peace and quiet as well as being close to what Logan has to offer. The cabin had everything we needed and was as expected…a cabin in the woods. Thank you so much wanderlust for an enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to be in a more private area rather than at a camp site. Also, there were plenty of board games, books, and children’s toys for those rainy mornings. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and the grill is more than sufficient. Again, I cannot say enough how pleased my wife and I are with our stay!!

The cabin exceeded expectations. Booked the cabin for a family Birthday celebration. I drove in from Tennessee and knew instantly I had picked a winner. Everything that is described in the listing is accurate. Everything we needed was in place right down to the 5 gallon water cooler and a well stocked kitchen. The cabin was immaculate and comfortable inside and the outdoor spaces were great. I think we sat out by the campfire until midnight both nights. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely be staying at DeerView. Also, communication with the host was fantastic.

My husband and I only live about 2 hours north of Hocking but wanted a weekend to ourselves without spending most of it driving. Ultimately we decided on Hocking. He and I both work long hours and have demanding careers so my only requirements were a hot tub and seclusion. After looking at many cabins online, I let him take over the search and within 5 minutes he had settled on Deerview and told me to book it. When we arrived I was so pleased with the aesthetic of the cabin. It had the perfect rustic chic vibe and let me tell you: there is not a single thing the property owner didn't think of as far as amenities. Had we forgotten anything back home, we still would've had it thanks to the host. We really only utilized the first floor and admittedly spent most of our weekend in the hot tub or napping but that's really all we wanted. We did oversleep a bit on checkout day and left a little late but we cleaned as much as we could prior to departing which hopefully made up for that. The only thing that some people may not like is the low water pressure in the shower, but we live in an old farmhouse so we weren't at all offended. All in all, we were very happy with our stay and plan to make it an annual getaway. A+

This cabin was the perfect place to stay for our short hiking trip. The cabin was secluded but close to all the hiking trails. The kitchen was fully stocked and there was a ton of games/extras with the cabin. Super clean and very cozy! Will definitely be booking again.

Great short stay for our family of 4. We ran into a snag while getting into the cabin but a quick message to Molly and our problem was solved - good thing there is Wi-Fi at the cabin because there is not Verizon cell service unless you drive to the top of the hill. Our kids loved the hot tub and were in it every time they could. The cabin is only a couple minutes from Cedar Falls and 20 minutes from Lake Logan which we liked. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed for our short stay and will stay again when visiting the area.

This stay was fabulous! The cabin has a home feel with everything you could ask for available! Definitely a great place to unplug and a short distance from local attractions! We were vey impressed with small touches! I was very thankful for the thoughtfulness of the black makeup wash clothes for those of us who do not want to ruin other linens with makeup:) The checkin and checkout directions were simple and easy to follow! Communication was prompt from the host. Internet worked well with streaming on multiple devices. The serene atmosphere and fresh air was rejuvenating! This place is definitely five star and we will stay again!!!

My husband and I had such a wonderful stay at Deerview Cabin! Communication with Molly and her team were flawless from start to finish. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. We had such a relaxing couple of days enjoying coffee on the porch in the morning, hiking and exploring the sites by day, lounging in the hot tub at sunset, then toasting s'mores into the night. Could not have asked for a better getaway and we can't wait to come back again in the fall! Thank you for such a memorable stay, you all were wonderful!
