About this apartment rental
The apartment is located a few minutes walk from the Colosseum, very bright and airy, completely renovated according to the most modern criteria of efficiency, technology and comfort although it maintains the charm of a period residence: in fact it is located in a building dating back to 1890. It is located in the ancient "Rione Monti", where there are real jewels such as the Basilicas of San Clemente, Santo Stefano Rotondo and SS. Four Crowned; the area is full of original shops and places of all kinds to eat. It is close to the Metro A San Giovanni and Metro B Colosseo stops, as well as many bus lines and is outside the ZTL area, so it is also possible to arrive by car. It is equipped with an automatic keyless opening system with a personalized code so FREE check-in is also possible at night. The views are external but the house is very silent. The French size double bed is very comfortable with a memory mattress, it is raised and can be accessed by climbing a few steps. The second bedroom has two single beds so the apartment can comfortably accommodate 4 people. The bathroom has an Italian shower and an external window; the washing machine is also located here. The kitchen is fully equipped and very functional, also suitable for a long stay. The apartment is located along the road which, passing through the beautiful Basilica of San Clemente, connects the monumental Piazza di S. Giovanni in Laterano with the Colosseum. The obelisk located on the square was carved in Egypt at the time of the Pharaohs and is the second tallest in the world. With a pleasant walk you can reach the wonders of imperial Rome on foot in a few minutes: the Colosseum, the arch of Constantine, the Imperial Forums, the Domus Aurea, the Palatine Hill, the Circus Maximus and in any case all the evidence of ancient Rome.

The host was extremely helpful and made our stay so very easy. The apartment was very close to Colosseum which was nice for one of our booked tours. Several places where closed on holiday but the host went out of her way to still make a few great recommendations.

A family of three (aged late 40s and 16 years of age) stayed in this property in March 2024.
Location is outstanding. You can see the Colosseum from the front door. It is a 10-minute walk (at most) to the nearest metro stations, and 2-minute walk to a number of buses. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area.
The host communicated during the week to check in on us, and helpful in allowing an early check-in. She also warned us about the marathon taking place the day we were leaving, so that we could arrange transport to the airport without concern. I was grateful for that!
My only warning is that if you have mobility challenges, the property may not be best for you. Both the double bed and one of the single beds are up some metal stairs that could be challenging.

We had a fantastic 48 hours in Rome before heading off on a cruise. The accommodations were available early which was ideal as we were getting off an overnight flight from Canada. The place was centrally located. The communication with the hosts was exceptional. The only downside was the main bedroom was very hot. Great for a short stay in this beautiful city.
