I really like swimming at the lake and the grilling in the outside porch.

We knew from other reviews that we should expect "rustic". We're fine with that and love that the vintage, lived-in feel of the place made it feel like being at grandma's. Buyer, beware: This property is on the main road, but too far to walk (given there are no sidewalks) with kids & gear to the Marina. Firepit and BBQ grill are advertised, but they don't tell you that you are responsible for buying propane needed to utilize both. Love that dogs are allowed, but beware there is no fenced area on this property, grass is not mowed (foxtails & burrs everywhere), and toxic oleander planted near the house. We would have been fine with all of this had it been disclosed ahead of time & we knew what to expect. A few safety related items really need to be addressed: broken kitchen items, loose & wobbly paving stone in front walkway, broken slats in deck railings front and back, etc. Last, cleaning crew left a "Tips appreciated" note at the *beginning* of our stay, which felt odd as we weren't getting any additional tip-warranted service that we didn't already pay for and were asked to do several cleaning tasks as part of check out. As it was, we were disappointed and won't book here again. Would rather pay higher price for better maintained property that didn't feel like a budget airline trying to nickel & dime you with added fees.

The house is very nice and clean. The only one big disadvantage is not having AC in bedrooms. A cooler in a master bedroom didn't work properly (even though that it made a lot of noise). The trashcan outside was full when we arrived and messy (it looks like some animals visited there). We ended up not using BBQ, but paying $73 extra for a full tank for a 2-days staying sounds too much.

Thank you, host! We had a great stay at the cabin! the location was very close to the Marina beach, which was super convenient for running back and forth for food, snax, floaties, change of clothes, etc. The cabin is GREAT and exactly as described! the spacious downstairs room with 4 beds was perfect for our 4 kids ages 8-11, they had a blast! And the floor plan allows for the upstairs to be nice and quiet for the adults. the Kitchen was well equiped: suprised to find such a nice toaster over and great blender. The cabin is rustic - so if you are expecting that - it is great, and well priced! There is no AC- there are swap coolers which work well, but you need to read the simple directions posted next to them. the Fridge is a little older, and took about a day to get cool after we filled it with food - so having a cooler with ice on hand for 1st day is helpful. the host was great and extremely responsive. We initially sent a complaint about the AC when we arrived - and they replied right away explaining what to do - and it was actually our oversight from the start: much to our chagrin - we found the instructions for the swamp cooler posted right there on the wall next to it! There is plenty of parking space - and you can keep your car in shade all day, if you move it a few time in morning. the fire pit on the deck is a nice touch, and the BBQ is adequate. Great cabin, great host, great location! We'll be back!

In the booking photos, the cabin looks light and spacious. In reality, this place is old and run down. The outside is weathered and unkempt. Sagging Christmas lights are still hanging on the cabin. The front doorknob is loose and doesn't fit the hole it sits in. The interior is dark and dingy. The bathrooms are from 1970. The vehicle traffic is heavy, fast, and constant. It wasn't peaceful to sit out on the deck. The only air conditioner is a swamp cooler in the living room, so the upstairs bedrooms are very hot and uncomfortable at night. The cabin was clean, just very run down. Upon our arrival, we immediately contacted the property manager because we were shocked at the general appearance compared to the photos. We were told, "Tough luck!" We wanted to leave immediately but decided to give it a chance. We spent the day at Marina Beach at PML, and my wife said she was disappointed, just thinking about returning to the cabin. We cut our stay a day short to get out of that cabin.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed staying at this home. Its open floorplan and layout was perfect for hanging out in the living room and cooking in the kitchen. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and a large rumpus room below with 4 beds, a great idea for an additional family. We didn’t use the balcony but the outdoor seating and dining would be useful in the summer. Would be great if there was a pool table but otherwise it was a fantastic cabin.

We own the property next door to this vacation rental and rented it to have for family visiting for the reunion. We were very pleased with the home and our family that stayed in the home enjoyed their stay. We will be utilizing this home again for large get togethers of family and friends.
