Welcome to Granny`s on the River, where we invite you to experience country living at its finest. Built in 1984, this family heirloom cabin rests in a forested setting on the banks of the beautiful Chiwawa River and will surely create a sense of nostalgia while providing you with all the comforts of home. From the antique phone on the wall to the collection of classic children`s books in the guest room upstairs, this cabin will surely transport you back to a simpler time when we were unplugged and spent time with family and friends. The open kitchen, living room, and dining area will make for easy conversations and enjoying each other's company while preparing meals, playing games, or cheering on your favorite sports team during the big game. For those wanting to enjoy a nice soak after a fun-filled day of adventure, there is a large, private enclosed hot tub adjacent to the home. When you are ready to call it a night, there is a guest room just off the kitchen and a sofa sleeper in the living area on the main level, or you can head upstairs to find a second guest room and the master bedroom. It`s only fair to warn you, that you may have a fight on your hands once you see the final sleeping option...a king bed out on the covered deck of the master bedroom. Imagine sleeping outdoors with the added protection of a roof overhead, screens to keep the bugs away, and listening to the sound of the river just 30 feet away. For those feeling really adventurous, you can even sleep outside in the winter months under extra bedding and the added electric blanket to keep you warm. Granny's on the River is a wonderfully unique place to stay and a great place to create your own lasting memories.

Please Note:
There is no central AC in this home. A portable unit will be provided in the upstairs bedroom seasonally.
While this home allows up to 8 guests, we feel that it is more comfortable for 6 adults overall due to the layout and the sofa-sleeper in the living room.
The washer and dryer are located in the main level bedroom, next to the bed.
The kitchen does not include a dishwasher.
This home is equipped with outdoor security cameras that face the driveway and the river from the house. There are no cameras facing the home or hot tub areas.
If you are planning to visit during the winter or summer months, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance. The weather can be unpredictable during these seasons and we hold firm to our cancelation policy.
Safety Note:
This cabin has 75 feet of easy access riverfront. Rivers can change in temperature and swiftness. Wading or playing in the river should be done with caution and at your own risk. Great care should be taken with small children in these environments.

This is our second stay at Granny's. We love coming to stay at Granny's. We enjoyed turning off our phones and listening to the river and bubbling away our troubles in the hot tub. We appreciate that Granny is a woman of faith as demonstrated in her decor and enjoyed listening to the record collection. We are also grateful that Granny allowed us to bring our dog along. Thanks Granny!

Great family getaway! We enjoyed playing games on the porch, relaxing in the hot tub, and being close to the river. The location is a bit far from Leavenworth but close to Lake Wenatchee where we spent several hours playing in the water and on the beach. The house was a good fit for our family and the big bedroom with the porch room was definitely a hit! Even though there’s not really air conditioning the house stayed fairly cool, probably helped by shade and close proximity to the river. We are already talking about a return trip sometime in the near future.

Cabin was nice. Fine for 2 people but small, would be crowded for a larger group to do anything more than sleep there.
