Escape to a peaceful Southern Vermont retreat that feels worlds away, yet is just minutes from Mount Snow. Nestled against a tranquil wooded backdrop, this well-appointed home offers the perfect balance of privacy, comfort, and convenience.
Inside, you’ll find two bedrooms and one full bath, comfortably accommodating up to four guests. The primary bedroom features a queen-sized bed, while the second bedroom includes two twin beds, making it ideal for families or small groups.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a four-burner electric stove and oven, large refrigerator and freezer, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker, everything you need for an easy, relaxed stay.
After a day of skiing, hiking, or exploring, unwind by the cozy wood-burning stove, or outside grill out in the private, wooded setting. For a truly special experience, relax in the brand new sauna with a view into the Green Mountain National Forest.
The outdoor space is quiet and secluded, offering that “off-the-grid” feel while still being in an ideal location close to everything the area has to offer.
Traveling with a four-legged friend? Pets are absolutely welcome with a $50 fee per animal. Just let us know in advance and we’ll send a link to add them to your reservation.
Please note: this is a two-unit home. There may be guests staying in the upper unit, but there are no shared interior spaces, entrances, or amenities beyond the sauna. You’ll have the entire lower level completely to yourself.
Full winter season only between Nov 15–April 15. Shorter requests will not be accepted during this time.

Winter seasonal rental (2026-2027): $12,000
All utilities included (propane, electricity, internet, sewer, well water, snow plowing). Pet friendly.

This is a beautiful little hideaway very near to Mount Stratton and Mount Snow as well as the charming town of Wilmington, where there are local shops and restaurants and a Shaw's. West Dover is right around the corner, with several restaurants and a couple of coffee shops. The property was very welcoming for my two cats, who settled right in and enjoyed themselves for the two weeks we were there. So many opportunities for hiking and other outdoor activities around! This is a great base camp for all your Vermont/ New Hampshire/ Massachusetts adventures!

Great house in a convenient location, close to hikes, family activities and nice towns. We spent a great weekend to see the foliage. The house is clean, with many amenities and easy communication with the host.

This property was nearly perfect for a one-month stay as I awaited my new house in Bennington. Jess, the owner, was very responsive and flexible. The photos accurately reflect the property. Importantly, the kitchen is well equipped for meal prep. Jess was very accommodating and welcomed both my dog and cat. It's conveniently located to groceries, shops and restaurants. My dog and I enjoyed trying out all the trails in the area and walking the loop of A-frames. It's private, quiet and offers a outdoor patio with picnic table, chairs and grill. It met all my needs and I am happy I stayed there. Thanks Jess.

The location of this home is great, and the unit itself is fine.
If you want something fancy, this might not be the place, but it was just fine for us. We were looking for a clean, quiet and comfortable home. This met our requirements.
It is the lower ground level of a 2 unit property. The owners may rent out the upper level, but may now be using it for themselves. Since we were assured that the upper unit would be unoccupied, we
Booked the lower level.
It lacks a deck or formal patio, but there is a picnic table, umbrella and grill. The owner allowed me to sit on the upper deck, which is partially covered. This turned out to be most helpful, due to plenty of rain during our stay.
Our dog enjoyed the property, as well.
Overall, a nice place, at a fair rental rate.
