Enter through the porch with a single step, followed by another step into the cottage where a cosy living/dining area awaits. Relax with a TV and electric fire, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The modern country kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you need for a stay of 2 nights or 2 weeks. The utility boot room is ideal for hanging coats and storing muddy wellies, keeping the cottage neat. Up the stairs, you’ll find the master bedroom, featuring original beams and a king-size bed. The shower room is equipped with a walk-in shower, toilet, and sink, along with an illuminated bathroom mirror that includes a shaving point. Enjoy the enclosed garden with a suntrap sitting-out area, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine. The garden is shared with the owners’ front walled garden, adding to the charming communal feel. Lavender Cottage is situated on the Severn Way, making it a fantastic spot for walkers.

Lavender Cottage is lovely! The owners, Sally and Kevin, are delightful and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is beautifully clean and very well equipped. There are some nice walks around Bicton Village but also a lot of sheep so we had to go a bit further afield to give our labrador a good off lead run. The nearest pub is in Montford Bridge but we chose to head into Shrewsbury (which is beautiful) to have more choice. We had a great time despite the rain and can thoroughly recommend.

The cottage was perfect exactly what we were after. Fantastic location from Shrewsbury but outside enough to feel the rural location and peace. There are no shops within walking distance but that wasn’t an issue as there are super local shops only a short ride away.The property was immaculately clean and very well equipped and you needed for nothing. The hosts were lovely and welcoming and the lemon drizzle cake was amazing. We will definitely be back again.
