About this cabin rental
Arbutus Cabin is situated amongst old growth fir and arbutus trees and is part of Quadra Island’s history. Despite a few improvements over the years, the cabin maintains its character reminiscent of its heritage. Relax on the large, covered deck and watch boats come and go all day or, lose yourself in a book in the over-sized chair in the reading nook.
You will love the spectacular sunsets over Vancouver Island and the parade of cruise ships sliding down Discovery Channel!

The space
This is an older cabin, which has character consistent with its years. We have taken steps to make sure it is safe, comfortable, clean and charming!
The “master bedroom” looks out over Q cove and has a queen sized bed with an Ende memory foam mattress. There is a tall chest of drawers for your clothing.
The second bedroom has a bunk bed also with memory foam mattresses. The room was set up for kids, but the beds can be used by adults.
Relax inside and still feel like you are interacting with nature all day long!
You have access to the whole cabin! Also, use of the yard, which includes the fire pit (when outdoor burning is allowed).
If you enjoy being in the move, there are many hiking trails, beaches and freshwater lakes to explore. Also, the fishing around Quadra Island is world class for salmon and ground fish!

This cabin is amazing! It’s obviously an older home but it has been updated in all of the most thoughtful ways. The beds and bedding are incredibly comfortable, the furnishings are beautiful and comfortable, the kitchen is huge and has everything you need to make a fabulous meal. The cabin is about a 10 minute walk to groceries and great pizza, and a 1-minute drive to the ferry but it still feels like you’re on a perfect island escape. And the view… holy smokes. We loved this cabin and you will too.

Beautiful, cozy cabin right very close to village. Loved that my dog and I could walk to the cafe, restaurants and grocery store, and was so close to the ferry. The hosts recommended hikes were amazing! The wood-burning fireplace was especially a treat.

This delightful spot served us very well during our stay on Quadra Island. All the modern conveniences with a solid touch of away-from-it-all cabin vibes. Our hosts were generous with suggestions for island activities and very responsive to our messages.

Charming old cottage, apparently one of the first homes built on Quadra Island. Loved the views of Quathiaski Cove, the ferry coming and going and the cruise ships out in Discovery Passage at night, all lit up! Enjoyed exploring the island, swimming in the clear, clean water of Village Bay Lake, and Rebecca Spit Provincial Park with its lovely beaches and views of the Discovery Islands, great place to settle into an afternoon of beach relaxation.The cottage was comfortable, well stocked with everything you could need.Easy ferry ride over to Campbell River as a walk-on, spend an afternoon over there.
