Your front door opens to reveal a surprisingly spacious GREAT ROOM with an open-concept living/dining/kitchen design. Right away, you’ll spot the impressive stone fireplace surrounded by rustic wood floors, creating the feeling of your very own ski cabin tucked into the forest. For relaxing indoors, choose between the luxurious leather sofa or the two classic club chairs.
Next to the living area lies the formal DINING SPACE, complete with a charming table with seating for four. There’s also room for two at the nearby breakfast bar, which flows seamlessly into the upgraded KITCHEN. A premier gas range, large stainless-steel refrigerator, efficient dishwasher, and microwave make meal prep effortless. This place is amazingly convenient since it is right next to the Chondola lift. I'd didn't realize it before our trip, but that lift is open until midnight on weeknights and 2:00am on weekends, making it very easy to travel up to the base village and on to Telluride on the free Gondola. The car stayed in the garage the whole time and we used Dial a Ride once. Skiing in and out was very easy, with just a short walk to the Meadows run.
The kitchen was nicely appointed and had everything we needed or could think of. Plenty of comfortable sitting options in the living area. The TV was nice, though mounted really high above the fireplace, and we watched the Superbowl on YouTube TV. The room with the queen bunk beds is very small, but it worked for our two teen kids.
Be aware the Chondola lift is literally right outside the master bedroom window and you can hear it running all day. My wife and I both sleep with ear plugs, so it didn't bother us, but I can imagine some people having a problem with it, especially when you hear it start up at 6:00am.
