About this house rental
Welcome to Cedar Ledge Cottage! This recently updated, bright cottage features beautiful easterly views of Casco Bay, open, sunlit living spaces, comfortable bedrooms, and is located just a short walk away from Cedar Beach. You'll love the ocean breezes, shaded porch, and easy access to local restaurants and shops.
Inside the cottage you'll find an open concept living room and eat-in kitchen with seating for four and large picture windows that fill the space with natural sunlight and sweeping ocean views. The living room opens to the master bedroom with a king bed and ocean views. Next door, there is a second bedroom with two twin beds and a shared full bathroom with a walk-in shower. From the living room, you enter the breezeway/front entrance with a washer and dryer and access to a shaded porch with table and chairs for four to relax and enjoy.
Outside, you'll love the sunny, open lot and friendly neighborhood, great for walking. From the cottage, you are within walking distance of Cedar Beach (0.4mi), the Bailey Island General Store (0.4mi), Fishnet Cafe (0.4mi), Mackerel Cove (0.8mi), Cook's Lobster & Ale House (1.1mi) and H2Outfitters and Salt Cod Cafe (1.3mi) just over the Cribstone Bridge. Come enjoy all Bailey Island has to offer from this lovely ocean view home!
Dogs under 20 pounds are welcome (a non-refundable pet fee applies). More than one dog requires permission from host. If booking on VRBO click on "Travelers" box and check box by "I am traveling with pets."
Note- The owners of this wonderful home are located next door and the driveway is shared. Given the proximity to neighbors, we do ask that guests respect quiet time between 10pm and 7am.

OMGOSH this property was amazing, right from the minute we walked in the door we felt so much at home. It was clean and comfortable. The owners were so nice and I felt like I had known them all my life. My 80 year old mom and I made some precious memories and I can’t wait to come back to this little gem with my husband.

We enjoyed a beautiful August week on Bailey Island. The kitchen had a nice mix of cooking and serving dishes, which made it easy to cook several meals during our stay; we also enjoyed eating out at Cooks, BIGS (Bailey Island General Store), and Sundrenched on the island. (Off island, we also enjoyed dining at Pomelia and Elevenses in Brunswick.) The walk to the Cedar Beach was pleasant, and we enjoyed hiking at Giant's Stairs. This was exactly the vacation week we were looking for.Two small frustrations: The TV does not have cable or an antenna, which stymied our attempts to watch a Red Sox-Yankees game on Fox; the TV offers a variety of shows and channels through Amazon FireTV. The shower curtain was also slightly too short, which made it hard to ensure that water didn't splash out; we used an extra towel to absorb it.But the rooms were comfortable and the view was wonderful.

My husband and I stayed at Cedar Ledge for 10 days. We love Bailey island and this location was great for easy walks to restaurants, cedar beach and the Bailey Island General Store. Everyone was freindly and the owners who live next door said hello and gave us some beautiful flower bouquets. Shout out to the ladies at The Fish Net Cafe for such friendly service and great food! The cottage is as advertised and has a nice view and ocean breezes. We would stay again!

We've been visiting Bailey Island for several Summers, but this is the 1st time I've rented from MainStay & 1st time oceanside. I usually rent from another group, cottages on Mackerel Cove, but acted too late in reserving one. Cedar Ledge advantages were walking distance to Cedar Beach where, my grandson explored & fished daily. Also appreciated was the nice ocean breeze, just unfortunate that a power transformer/lines were in the middle of the wonderful view. The beds were very comfortable & I appreciated the layout with the large kitchen & laundry/storage room, but there really wasn't adequate table space for 4 when dining unless sitting on the deck. I am also used to having fresh drinking/cooking water provided. And for those who are adverse to such things, there were ants, earwigs & beetles indoors. Furnishings & the general condition of the cottage were on the rough side, the exterior partially painted with scaffolding & random painters tape still in place. Regardless, the cottage was comfortable & we had a great stay, just not worth twice what I usually pay.
