Helmsley, also close at hand, has a castle to explore, shops, pubs and restaurants serving Yorkshire specialities.

lovely quiet location, cottage clean and comfortable, disappointed with welcome pack as no tea/coffee was provided to go with milk.

Despite the rain and wind, and other issues beyond the owner's control, it was a good break. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped except for the lack of a radio. Recommended.
