Front sitting-out area with garden furniture. Rear patio with garden furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is a retaining wall with drop to rear patio.. Rose Cottage is thought to date from the 16th Century. It is situated on the hillside at the end of a row, offering glimpses of the sea from the front sitting out area. A woodburner makes this holiday cottage an ideal getaway for all seasons. Stroll down the hill into the Cinque Port of Hythe with its shops, restaurants and beach. Take a walk or cycle along the tow path of The Royal Military Canal. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Had a lovely stay, very comfy, cosy cottage but think we made a mistake taking our rather large dog as it was a bit of a squash. Stairs are very narrow and steep so not suitable for anyone with reduced mobility but location and facilities were great. Perfect for a couple

Excellent little cottage, if it had a shower and wasn’t at the top of a steep hill I’d have given a higher score.We enjoyed our time in Hythe, excellent bus service at bottom of the hill, 102 bus service every 15 minutes.

Ignore the rubbish from cottages.com as they obviously do not have a clue. The front door facing North road is locked and bolted and so cannot be used to enter the property. Only by going down the steps and using the back door can you get in. The flat bronze yale style key next to the silver long key is the one you need. As the yale lock is loose you need to jiggle the key in the lock to even turn it.
Watch out if your tall ... im 6' and had some close calls in the cottage. Do not attempt to use the driveway to park as it is too up n down and narrow. I scratched the car drivers side up on the hedges. The unrestricted layby opposite is best if you want to avoid T cut!
