Situated on the north west coast of the beautiful Rhins of the Galloway Peninsula, this detached cottage has been thoughtfully renovated.. Ground Floor:

Games room with TV, pool table, table tennis and dartboard (shared with owner).. Lawned garden with large decked area, garden furniture and BBQ. 2 small dogs welcome (large dog cage available on request). Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. Wheelchair access. No smoking. Please note: There is a fenced stream in the garden, 10 yards away.. In a scenic area, this spacious detached cottage has all the main living areas on the ground floor, and makes a great holiday base. It offers easy access for the less mobile, as well as a walk-in bath with bath seat, and a single bed, which is adjustable. Patio doors from the living room to a large decked area overlooking the garden.
The Galloway coastline offers an abundance of sandy beaches and rocky coves to explore. Dally Bay close by has a beautiful sandy beach where porpoise and dolphin can be spotted. The Potting Shed is set on the owner’s working farm and many outdoor activities are available nearby. These include walking, golf, sea and freshwater fishing, pony trekking, water sports and cycling.
Several beautiful gardens are recommended for a visit including Logan Botanical Gardens, which benefit from the mild climate of the Gulf Stream. The quaint harbour village of Portpatrick is nearby with restaurants, shops and a golf course, whilst the town of Stranraer is approximately 8 miles with a further range of shops, restaurants and pubs. There are many coastal villages to explore in the area. Day trips to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan. Beach 2 miles. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 5½ miles.

Lovely accommodation that was very clean and had everything (and more) to make our stay really pleasant. The hosts were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. This might have been the best place we have stayed in when booking through cottages.com.While staying here we were able to explore lots of the beautiful places that South West Scotland had to offer.I would definitely recommend this place.

Excellent cottage with good facilities especially if you are not the most mobile. Was quite remote lovely for relaxing but not if you like the bright lights.😏

Lovely cottage on a working farm, friendly owners who are happy to help if required. Games room was popular with the children (and grownups). Handy for day trips to Portpatrick, Mull of Galloway, the beach at Sandhead, various castles, gardens and a bit further to the Laggan outdoor activity centre at Gatehouse of Fleet.
