One of the most striking hills in Pembrokeshire is Carningli which translates as Mountain of Angels, with its brooding presence over the town. When sitting on the property grounds you can watch the sun setting over Carningli’s profile against the red sky, making it look rather like the volcano it once was.

Walk from the cottage to the adjoining Coed Tŷ Canol National Nature Reserve featuring gnarled and twisted oaks, rock outcrops, old stone walls and an Iron Age fort. Woodland cover has flowed here since the Ice Age, already old when the Pentre Ifan stone burial chamber was built nearly 5500 years ago. It is one of the richest sites for lichens anywhere in Britain and Ireland. Simply enjoy the grounds around the property, offering many secret gardened areas to be enjoyed.

The property is adjacent to Y Bwthyn. The garden of the main house is the home of The National Holly Collection.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the New year period in Ty Bach. The directions made it easy to find and it was lovely having some land around the cottage to explore and ideal to be so near the nature reserve. We were also a comfortable drive away from many interesting places, such as St David's, Tenby and Cardigan. I enjoy wild swimming and found some beautiful spots nearby. It's a shame there is no shower but it was lovely to enjoy a warm bath after a long day out hiking (just ensure you space them out) the beds were really comfortable. The TV is HUGE! We loved the log burner and it was so nice to light this in the evenings to relax and keep warm. We would definitely consider staying her again in the future as it's a decent cottage in an ideal location and it's also dog friendly

Lovely cottage in lovely setting. Photos didn’t do it justice. Could do with a deep clean, loads of dust under beds, sofas and on top of fridge. Really enjoyed stay. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

While this cottage was in a lovely location and the cottage was clean and comfortable I was not happy that I hadn't been told about the shower not working- because I can't physically sit down in a bath I couldn't have a proper wash all week , I booked this cottage because it had a shower and the fact that I wasn't notified on booking frankly is not on ! I have found out since that these problems have been going on for some time

Ty Bach is a lovely place, particularly the surrounding gardens. The beds and living room are comfy and everything works. The rusty old barbecue needs renewing and the shower is more of a dribble but these things didn't matter too much to us. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
