The cottage provided us with a comfortable base, a perfect location for our week in Keswick. Thank you. However, we feel that it is in need of some TLC.

The location of this property and the area it sits in are all perfect. The property itself however is a little tired inside and out and could do with some updating/ decorating. The double bed is so hard to the point that I found it uncomfortable and not easy to sleep in. Communication with Cumbrian cottages that run the property was non existent. I sent 2 messages prior to our stay and didn’t get an answer to either. In the end I phoned a helpline number for cottages.com and managed to speak to someone once we arrived at the property to get the key code, which was a bit frustrating. Also, Vrbo confirmed different times for getting into the property and check out times. When we arrived we found out that Cumbrian cottages don’t let you in until 5pm and ask you to leave at 9 am.

Overall a positive experience with only a couple of issues that could have made the holiday even better. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This is the third time we have stayed at this cottage and always have a lovely week. It is conveniently close to the main town whilst being in a quiet location. It only takes 10 minutes to walk into town for the lake, cinema, pub, shops etc. Walks from the door include Latrigg and Skiddaw. The kitchen is pretty well equipped and has a dishwasher. We had a great week at Brundholme Glen, Keswick within walking distance, park even closer great for the dog. The cottage is well equipped, settees and bed comfortable, a few small niggles the Henry vacuum cleaner did stink when used, the lights are a bit dim older type energy saver bulbs and the seal on the shower screen needs changing.

Great holiday overall, the cottage could do with a lick of paint to freshen it up,and it would be nice to have a king size bed as I would say it was a small double, the instructions for the central heating were not all that clear but we managed to work it out. This property is in a great location but the photos of the park are a bit miss leading making you think you walk into the park from the back garden, when in fact the river is at the bottom of the garden and there is a small muddy path to an opening that leads to the park. The location of the property is great being in a quiet area but only a few minutes walk into the town centre, Would I stay here again more then possible but only because of the location as there are many properties in the area at a better price
