If you are looking for seclusion or a place way from it all this is it, Port Colmon Farmhouse for us was an excellent choice. Its one of those very few places which has everything you need, we did our shopping before we left home and needed nothing apart from the odd ice cream after a long days walking along the coastal path, we found that ice-cream 200m up the road at the local shop.

Amazing spot for a family holiday. The house had everything we needed, and we all loved the hot tub and proximity to the beach. The only thing I would alter would be to lose the dark patterned carpet throughout the main living space - it reduced the sense of light and space in the room, and also made it very hard to find my son's Lego pieces!

We picked the location as it was quiet. My granddaughter has autism and severe learning disabilities. She normally doesn't settle anywhere but she absolutely loved it.

Fantastic location. Cottage was fine for the off-peak season price we paid but we felt it could do with a little attention to the maintenance and cosmetics (for example, there was heavy rain while we were there and the bedroom window leaked in; the paintwork in the bathroom was falling off under the window). Some appliances didn't work (electric heater) or were troublesome (whenever we used the toaster it tripped the fuse). No hairdryer - take your own. Having said that, you're getting a cottage in a beautiful, tranquil setting; the hot-tub is a delight and the beds were amongst the comfiest we've slept in. We would go back, happily.
