Spent a fabulous week in Capoliveri. The cottage is beautiful, only a few minutes’ walk from all the lovely restaurants and shops in the town yet just far enough away to be peaceful and quiet at night! We were two couples and the house is ideal (one double bedroom, one single). We are enchanted by Elba - a very authentic and genuine place to stay - full of locals, no big hotels, just lots of charm. The walk to the local beach is about 30-40 mins but down a steep road. Loads of things to do and see on the island - gorgeous walks. We loved Monte Capanne (although the hike down was tough!) Enfola, sandy Procchio beach, Porto Azzurro and the headland walk to Barbarossa beach. Had the best tuna and sea bass ever at Il Vecchio Borge restaurant in Capoliveri!
We absolutely loved it here and can highly recommend the cottage. Alessandra and her son Federico are also very helpful and easy to book with. We left some tourist info leaflets as there weren’t any in the house when we arrived.
