This accommodation surpassed our hopes. I was with my elderly parents and wanted a property on one level. The fixtures and fittings were of an excellent standard, good quality bedding and towels. Fantastic walk in shower which was safe for my parents and very spacious. All the rooms were spacious and everything we could want was provided. We were lucky enough to have some lovely weather in April and could enjoy the garden which is so nice. The pub that is about 1 min walk was an extra benefit if you want to eat out and not drive, the food and welcome was very good. Only a 20 min drive to Windermere lake and easy access to Ambleside and Keswick. You are also able to walk the Old man of conniption from this location, no need to drive. Easy instructions on how to find the property and how to get in. I would recommend this highly. The drive way is quite narrow, we have quite a large car but I feel if you had a van then you would struggle to get in. I would look forward to returning here in the future.

An extremely relaxing stay with beautiful surroundings. Everything in the house was supplied from crockery to wifi. I would recommend a wifi extension as wifi signal weak in rest of the property. Best signal being in the lounge. Overall a well deserved break for us in a perfect location making our first cottage rental an experience to remember and one that will most definitely make us want to return. We were pleasantly surprised with the cottage; it was much bigger than anticipated and the garden was fantastic. Lots of space for the kids to play, a lovely pond and lots of interesting flowers and plants. Beds were comfy and lots of living space plus two separate tables for eating meals. It is a great location for walking; we did a good selection of the Coniston mountain range off the doorstep. It has good access to the lake with easy walking up to Coniston village. The Wilson Arms over the road served fantastic food and had a nice range of local beers. The beer garden is spacious with plenty of tables and there is a small deli serving coffees and treats from early morning which was a great start to our walks. We felt it was a little overpriced for a long weekend; however, we understand the current climate is difficult so we really tried to make the most of our time there. We would definitely consider it for a longer break in the near future. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Fantastic find! Everything lovely and clean. Using bottled water a slight trial but owners provided more than enough for our requirements. The little added touches where gratefully received. Lovely Xmas tree and quality facilities and bedding. Thank you we will be back!

The accommodation was very quirky. However, I felt that the lounge didn’t really fit in. Needs to be cosier, there is a big dining table in the lounge that doesn’t really suit. A nice fireplace would make it comfier. The outside area is amazing and perfect for dogs. Very private with a lovely pond.
