About this house rental
High above Umbertide, with beautiful views over the town and the typically Umbrian valleys and hills, you will find the agriturismo il Poggio, with two villas for rent. Each has a private entrance and private garden, but shares the pool. The pool is 5 by 14 meters (depth is 1.40 meters) and is fenced.
Casa Pietra has been totally rebuilt in the old style with the typical stone walls of the area. One lives in the apartment on the first floor (80 m2) with access from the covered external staircase, from where one enters in the entrance hall. There is a spacious living area with a sofa and a large dining table with chairs and a well-equipped kitchen area (dishwasher, oven, 4 pit hob, fridge, and freezer). There are 2 bedrooms (2 double beds and 1 single bed) sharing one bathroom. The bathroom has a shower. In total, this first floor is suitable for 5. On top of the outside staircase is a spacious terrace with a table and chairs overlooking the valley below.
On the ground floor is a small apartment where the bedroom with a double bed can be used. This floor also has a bathroom with a shower. In this bathroom is the washing machine. There is an extra kitchen, which may be handy when at the pool or for extra cool drinks.
All windows are equipped with mosquito nets. The ground-floor apartment is wheelchair friendly.
The nearest town is Umbertide, which is almost literally down the hill and a 10-minute drive. There are shops and restaurants, and a nice market every Wednesday morning.
Other distances: 50 minutes to the centre of Perugia or to Assisi, and Città di Castello is 30 minutes. Rome is 2.5 hours and Florence is a 2-hour drive.
There is a washing machine and a barbecue. The pizza oven is shared with the other villa. Two baby cots and two high chairs are available.
The pool is open in June, July, August, and until mid-September.
The use of the heating is charged based on consumption: €6/m3.
Note that there may be a tourism tax to pay. Since 2013, the local authorities in Umbria have been able to ask for this tax which is not included in the price.

The beautiful old house with terrace and much space and a big garden has a breathtaking view over the umbrian hills. It's quiet, marco and beatrice are very kind and helpful. All beatiful towns and sights are easy to reach

This was a perfect villa and a perfect holiday. Firstly, there are two properties that share the same pool, but don't let that put you off as the two houses are quite a distance apart and the pool is very big. The Villa company were excellent. My point of contact was Saskia and after setting up a WhatsApp chat with her she was on hand to answer any questions we had and to offer advice on where to go etc. Any question we had was answered quickly and nothing was too much trouble for her. The villa itself is set towards the top of a steep road (very well paved) with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. It is split into two separate apartments which was a welcome surprise. downstairs on the ground level has a double room and a large kitchen. There is also a table and chairs outside in the covered arch. Upsatairs is the main house with a lounge, kitchen and two further bedrooms. A car is a must as the local town of Umbertide is about a15 minute drive away and ten minutes of that is on the road from the villa down the hill. Umbertide has a lovely centre with a few nice restaurants and bars. About a 20 minute drive away is the town of Montone. It is beautiful and full of nice restaurants and bars. For us the stunning views from the villa made this holiday special. Thank you Saskia and you team. We look forward to returning.
