About this house rental
You will be charmed the minute you step out of your car...….....the majesty of the mountains, the freedom to breathe and the warmth of the welcome...……..
Over the years, we have enjoyed family, friends and guests from overseas. We built this home with lots of love and adventure, whether practical or not ---------
With 5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths + jacuzzi as well as 2 fireplaces and...an easy flow to socialize, we felt our guests right at home.

There are no immediate neighbors nearby, which makes the house great for parties, reunions and family gatherings. We have a grill for outdoor cooking & will have a fully functioning Fire-pit in the front yard as of June 1st.
The property is perfect for Sleigh riding in winter and Biking in summer. There are also hiking & fishing trails behind the house. And of course we provide plenty of firewood for the fireplace.
Entertainment Package: There are 3 TVs in the house (two main rooms & Master Bedroom) and we have the full television & high-speed WiFi package including Youtube, Netflix, Hulu as well as all movie channels (HBO, Showtime, Starz, Cinemax). Note: You use your account to login to Netflix, Hulu, etc - we do not provide account logins/passwords.
Centrally located to all the major ski resorts with Plattekill & Bellayre Ski Mountains, both about 10 minutes away and Hunter & Windham Mountains about 40 minutes away. Be sure and check out the Belleayre & Plattekill websites as they also have year-round activities like summer concerts & beach activities, Gondola rides, Mountain bike riding, etc.
Roxbury Wine & Spirits are just a phone call away & will deliver directly to the house (phone # on the refrigerator).
The neighboring town of Margaretville has the Freshtown supermarket, restaurants, bars as well as Meadows Golf Center 9 hole course. In nearby Phoenicia, about 30 minutes away, is kayaking & tubing/white water rafting. From Mid-May to Mid-October is the Pakatakan Farmer s Market every Saturday 5 minutes away in Halcottsville.
We are also pet friendly for any furry-friends that want to roam the 13 acre yard. Finally, there is pest control surrounding the entire house.
***weekly booking (7 days or more) is automatically discounted by 30% off the nightly rate. Monthly booking (28 days or more) is automatically discounted by 60% off the nightly rate.
***check-in & check-out are flexible, as long as we don’t have another guest checking-in (out) that same day you are welcome to arrive earlier or depart later than listed times.
***4WD or AWD recommended during Winter months, long driveway to the house.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Twin Peaks. The house was great with terrific views. It was very warm the week we were there and the central air conditioning made our time at the house super comfortable. The host was great to work with. He responded very quickly to our inquires and checked in to be sure we were happy with the house.

What a vacation! Twin Peaks is such a special place, you are kissed by nature from every viewpoint on the property. The fall mountain vista was absolutely breathtaking and the bright starry night sky was captivating. The house is incredibly spacious, and beautifully appointed; comfortable in every way. We enjoyed the firepit at night and grilled local meats from the farmer's market at the round barn using the gas grill on the deck. The various nearby roadside farm stands were so much fun, we purchased many locally farmed items, including dairy, meats, produce, and baked items. The location has so much to offer if you just take the time to drive and immerse yourself in the little villages all through the mountains. And after a day of exploring you have your own piece of paradise waiting at Twin Peaks. Will you catch a glimpse of the deer that come by each morning? Or maybe if you're lucky you'll see a fox off to the right, beside the rock wall in the forrest. You'll definitely see turkeys and if you look closely you'll spot cute little chipmunks. Maybe, you just want to swing and absorb the sun on your face, or just stare at the mountain in a moment of zen; Twin Peaks will settle your soul. I can't wait to return. Thanks Bilo for the wonderful hospitality and awesome memories.

Beautiful, spacious escape for a weekend away in Roxbury. Definitely make sure your car is 4WD for the driveway, especially in the winter. The house was clean and communication with owners was excellent.
