Just 5 minutes from the beach and Tamarindo's vibrant bar and restaurant district - not 39 minutes as the VRBO map on the listing states - Treehouse Hideaway Tamarindo is an immersive nature experience that features an open-air living room, private pool, and a rooftop deck with a pergola that is perfect for taking in dazzling sunsets. In the evening you will be enchanted by the peaceful sounds of the jungle. If you are fortunate enough to visit during the rainy season (May-October) you will be mesmerized by the sounds of rain in the trees as you relax in the open-air living room. No need for the Calm app at this exquisite property!
Less than 2km from the beach and Tamarindo's vibrant restaurant and retail center, this one-of-a-kind home, is sure to deliver some OMG's (yes monkeys do often swing from the trees behind the pool) and create a memorable experience!
The property is truly a hideaway, as the house is barely visible as it is tucked approximately 5 meters below the grade of the private drive that dead ends at the house/edge of the jungle - as illustrated in the last picture.
To enter the house, you descend 15 steps and open the front gate which opens to the open-air living room and kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen features new stainless steel appliances, and is able to be enclosed and air conditioned by sliding the glass panel doors together. The three bedrooms are also air-conditioned.
The master bedroom with ensuite is on this level, just off of the living room. To reach the other two bedrooms on the walkout lower/pool level, you will descend the spiral staircase pictured. Each bedroom is furnished with high end bedding, deluxe king-sized mattresses, and features Costa Rican-built custom furniture.
Not to be missed is the large West-facing rooftop living area and pergola. From where you park your car, you will see a set of 4 stairs that lead onto the roof. Follow the roof around a corner and you will see the pergola, and during some times of the year, get partial views of the ocean.

A fantastic jungle retreat! Pool area out the back of the house is very private, steps from the jungle. The outdoor living room was our favourite, we spent a ton of time just sitting and watching the creatures of the jungle come and go. Close to town, yet far enough away to leave the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo behind.

Treehouse Hideaway is an exceptional property!Very conveniently located 6 mins from Tamarindo for all your beach/restaurant needs and really close to Villareal for groceries etc. The pool is an amazing feature, big enough to cool off in and lay and watch the wildlife in the jungle behind the house. We enjoyed watching the howler monkeys everyday, humming birds, Iguanas. The kitchen is equipped with about everything you could need and the washer and dryer come in handy!The management is fantastic any issue that came up was dealt with extremely quickly.

We had an incredible stay at David’s Treehouse Getaway. It was quiet, extremely clean, comfortable, and very beautiful.The beds were super comfortable, there was good water pressure and hot water, and everything was spotless. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
