Barefeet Retreat is a low country 2 story, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa overlooking a large saltwater marsh located within the gated community of Litchfield By The Sea (LBTS) and a short walk to the pristine Litchfield beach and pool. Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy the stunning coastal Carolina sunsets from the oversized deck off the back or a hammock below at this peaceful retreat.
This villa has been meticulously renovated blending modern touches with coastal charm and everything is brand new. When we say "everything is brand new" we mean everything. All new appliances, new furniture, new HVAC systems, new floors, new TVs, new light fixtures, etc. The villa features a custom fully equipped kitchen with quartz counter tops, flat top range, and other modern appliances.
MAIN FLOOR: 1 bedroom (with 1 queen and 1 twin XL bed) with ceiling fan, full bath, open floor plan with kitchen, dining, and living area that opens to sundeck with saltmarsh view.
SECOND FLOOR: 1 bedroom (with 1 King) with ceiling fan, full bath, kids ensuite (with 1 twin)
AMENITIES: Flat screen smart TVs (with cable) in living room and both bedrooms, wireless internet access, an outside shower with hot and cold water, microwave, dishwasher, full size washer/dryer, covered patio, covered parking, private community pool.
ACCESSIBLE AMENITIES: Miles of soft sandy beach, oceanfront clubhouse with large deck area with sun shades, bathrooms and multiple rinsing showers. Community swimming pool, 5 lighted outdoor tennis courts and 2 pickleball courts, biking and walking/jogging paths, lakeside fishing, and close proximity to prominent golf courses and trendy eateries.
BEACH ACCESS: 4-5 minute walk
HOUSEKEEPING / LINENS: Full departure clean service after every guest, bed linens and bath towels provided with beds made upon arrival. Bath towels, hand towels, face cloths, and bathmats. (Does not include beach towels)
PARKING: covered parking available
LENGTH OF STAY: Weekly stays only in summer (some partial weeks available). Partial week stays available during off season.

Villa was clean, beautifully and thoughtfully designed/decorated in the common areas. Plenty of space for big family meals both indoors and outdoors. Fully appointed kitchen with everything you could possibly need! Even storage containers for leftovers which was a treat! Highly recommend!

The property and amenities were excellent. The villa was spotless and kitchen appliances in great condition and working order. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning overlooking the marsh and birds. The location was an easy walk to the beach and pool. Attention to detail was thoughtful and appreciated. By far the best communication with the owner in my experience with VRBO. We really appreciated the state park pass too. I would not hesitate to book again.

This was our second stay here. It is nicely renovated, clean, and comfortable (including the beds!) with a well-equipped kitchen and laundry room (in the lockup downstairs). The outside space with marsh views is a great place to relax, and the beautifully landscaped walking paths are a great way to start and end your days. In addition, the beach truly is a short walk away, as is the pool. If you enjoy nature (bird-watching, seeing alligators, etc.), you will also appreciate the Huntington Beach State Park pass the owner provides to visit this amazing state park. If this review sounds like the property description, it’s because the description is that accurate. Highly recommend!

You will be pleased when you arrive. This villa is in a secure and safe gated community. The beach is easy walking distance for young and old alike. Quiet surroundings, everything is in good working order, and clean. Host Scott is responsive and accommodating when/if needed. You will have his contact information. Information provided for check-in and check-out is easy to understand. Communication prior to your check-in date is organized and above average. Be respectful of the property and your damage deposit will be returned very promptly.
