About this apartment rental
The Palm is the expansive main floor of a wonderful old Victorian home that was duplexed long ago and has evolved throughout the years. You’ll have private access to the first floor with your own entrance. We love this place for its high ceilings, vintage decor, original hardwood floors, and quiet red brick road neighborhood! With queen-size comfy beds, a cozy living room with a smart TV, and an eat-in kitchen area with all the essentials, you may want to stay longer!
If you're looking for new and perfect, this is not it—it’s a cool old house in a unique location. The Palm is an early 1900s Victorian home in a quaint, historic neighborhood, just a pleasant walk from restaurants, bars, breweries, entertainment, museums, historic walking tours, and the riverfront. Parking is free, easy, and ample on the street in front of the house.
Note: The neighbor upstairs has two dogs, and you may occasionally hear them walking around at night or early in the morning. If you're a light sleeper, please keep this in mind.
Guests will have access to the entire lower-level floor and a private entrance. We are here if you need us, invisible if you don’t. Check-in anytime with the keypad lock and start relaxing! We’ll likely check in with you via text to ensure everything’s great. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume you’re happy!
Located on a quaint brick road, The Palm is within walking distance to downtown and the river walk. This is a very old house—please treat it with respect. If historic charm and unique turn-of-the-century eccentricities aren't your thing, you may want to consider more modern accommodations.

The host was absolutely top notch with regards to communication. The home is spacious and suited our needs perfectly. The beds were very comfortable. Great location. We met the hostess neighbor briefly and he was very nice and welcoming. Will stay again!

Everything about this accommodation was easy. The space was clean, lots of room, any amenities we needed were on site. Communication was excellent! Enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Wilmington.

This house is perfectly located in the downtown area, close to everything! I was traveling with my parents and my children (5 total) so this space was perfect and every one had their own space. The master was great, private bathroom and entire house felt cozy. The host was very responsive! We would def come back again!

We booked this home based on the glowing reviews, but unfortunately our experience didn’t quite line up. While the house was clean and our stay was comfortable enough, the overall condition felt more run down than expected. The floors leaned noticeably and were uneven throughout, and much of the tile across the home was cracked.The bathrooms especially need attention — the toilet in the master rocks significantly if you sit off balance, and the shower could use some TLC. There was also an unpleasant odor in the master bedroom that made things feel less inviting.On top of that, airplane noise was very noticeable, which may be an issue for light sleepers. While the space did feel “lived in” and somewhat worn, it left us feeling a bit uncomfortable despite its cleanliness.Overall, this wasn’t an overly pleasant stay. It wasn’t terrible, but it also didn’t match the high praise from other reviews.
