Atmospheric Swiss Chalet. Just renovated Chalet Valais located in Fiesch, Valais. Are you looking for a cozy chalet in a child-friendly (ski) area. Then get to know Aletsch Arena, more than 104 km of slopes. It is one of the most spectacular areas of Europe in terms of landscape and has been on the Unesco World Heritage List since 2001. Everything here breathes pure nature, with a large number (almost four thousand) as a piece of information that overlooks the whole. The snow-secure area includes Fiescheralp, Bettmeralp and Riederalp a typical all-round hiking, skiing and cross-country skiing destination. Also the Goms known for the beautiful cross-country trails is literally around the corner.
But also in the summer you can make beautiful walks here and you can go mountain biking, paragliding and climbing.
Lightning fast WiFi in the house! Fiesch is a cozy village with the largest glacier of Switzerland the Aletsch Glacier. There are various shops, a pharmacy, general practitioners and dentists in the village. There is an indoor pool and a sports and Wellnes Center. Of course there are several restaurants in the village and its surroundings.

Fiesch is a great place to base yourself and the chalet is a good size and well equipped. I have just marked it down because it's a real slog to get up to the chalet. I wouldn't recommend if you are not reasonably fit unless you have a car. The place was pretty clean and any problems with the lock on the front door previously mentioned have been sorted. But there were a few issues that stopped it being 5*. The shower drain was blocked and quickly filled up. You have to put your own bedding on and the coverlets underneath weren't very clean.
