Come and experience Fayette County, West Virginia at it's very finest. The Vandalia House is located on our 300 acre farm bordering The Gauley River National Recreation Area with direct access to both the Gauley and Meadow rivers.
The Vandalia is a 3 Bedroom, 2 sleeping loft (3000 sq. ft) house. This house is stunning: designed and constructed with high end fixtures and features, no expense has been spared. The Vandalia House is a mid sized vacation rental house. It's an excellent choice for medium sized groups and families. Lots of space, private hot tub, full kitchen, canyon views and 2.5 baths.
The property boasts breathtaking views, rock cliffs, historical landmarks, a 70 foot waterfall, nature trails, rails to trails along the rivers, with endless possibilities for adventure. What makes this destination so unique is that all these vacation activities are right at your doorstep. You'll be able to arrive at the house, park the car, and just let your imagination run wild
When you do choose to climb back into the family car, The house is located within a short drive of several of West Virginia's State Parks and National Parks as well as many outdoor adventure opportunities available from the area's premier professional outfitters. We are also within a short drive of several quality golf courses.

Location for the home was a blessing and a chore. On the one hand there was wildlife (an elusive black bear!) and amazing trails. On the other it took 20 minutes on narrow, partially paved back roads to get there from the main road (19 into Fayetteville). From there you could get anywhere easily. House is very nice and spacious with a beautiful common area. Cleaners might want to inspect dishes better. It seems trusting to me to count on outgoing guests to clean dishes for the next group. Not sure if we would pick again, but we rarely repeat. Definitely no regrets.

This was a great place in a great location halfway between family to meet for a long weekend in the mountains. Plenty of space to explore and enjoy and the views were amazing.

If you’re looking to get away to a secluded getaway, this is the place! Beautiful cabin, well stocked with Everything! Large deck in the rear and a new crystal clear hot tub! Fantastic

Our 5 day stay in the Vandalia cabin was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I were looking for seclusion and relaxation for our Anniversary. Well we got exactly that during our stay. We couldn’t get enough of the views from the back porch or from the picturesque hicking trails. Pervis was a great host and was super responsive to any and all of our questions. We can not wait to go back to the wild and wonderful state of West Virgina and the Vandalia cabin. Till next time.
