About this house rental
Fabulous Burgundian stone hexagonale tower situated on the edge of the medieval town of Semur en Auxois. Private garden with wooden terrace,table and chairs, barbecue and outside furniture. The house is cool in the summer and cosy in the winter months.
The open plan kitchen, dining, sitting room has under floor central heating, a new kitchen has been fully installed and the room has been decorated in cool modern colours. There is all you need to cook, pots and pans, china and dishes.....The kitchen is also fitted with a dishwasher, sink, fridge and microwave/oven.
There is a small comfy sofa, television, selection of dvd's and some games.
The stone turning staircase leads up to the double bedroom.
The double bedroom has an ensuite shower, basin and toilet. It has beautiful stone round windows with handmade metal shutters which give lovely views across the field opposite.
We have a swimming pool on the premises, 10m x 4m, a winding path through the vegetable garden gives access to the shared pool. It is heated from May to mid September.
We also have an exterieur barrel sauna for your use.
We can provide you with breakfast in the mornings, fresh pastries, hot and cold drinks, homemade jam from fruit from the garden, yogurt, fruit etc, please ask when you book.

The tower was absolutely beautiful and very unique, the craftsmanship was phenomenal and it was a lovely place to stay for a night.
Unfortunately we didn't use the pool or other facilities but the owner Louise was very nice and the menu offered sounded delicious, although I ended up just getting some fresh eggs from the chickens on the grounds.
It seemed really well situated and all in all we couldn't fault it, although my one comment would be that a small air conditioner upstairs would be nice as the windows upstairs don't open so it got a little stuffy in July with me, my partner and our 2 dogs, but it was by no means unbearable and I like to sleep in a cool room anyway, so this may have been more me :)

What a beautiful and unique location to start a holiday trip through France. We only stayed for a night, but what a wonderful experience that was! After a warmhearted welcome by Louise, we were able to refresh ourselves by taking a quick dip in the pool before heading off for a visit of the beautiful center of Serum-en-Auxois, which you could basically reach by foot, if a short walk doesn't scare you off. On our return, Louise had prepared a superb boeuf bourguignon to go along with a very nice bottle of red wine from a local winemaker, which we enjoyed in the evening sun on the little terrace outside of our romantic tower. The bed is excellent and we had a good night's sleep before continuing our trip the next morning. Even though our stay was brief, it started our trip off on a great note, and we definitely look forward to coming back here next time.

The exagonal tour is a great accommodation.
The place was clean and everything is very organized.
Great location easy walking distance to bakeries, bars and old city.
The swimming pool is very nice and the owners are friendly and very kind.
It is a great stay for my dog too.
