Sycamore Downtown Vista

Beautiful home. Simply decorated. Everything we needed was there. Street parking “free on the weekend” was a bonus. We parked and walked to dinner, shops, and breakfast the next morning. The only negative was the quality of the second floor mattresses. They’re lumpy and creaky. One note to your cleaning service: the washcloths were stained with foundation. That was not us. Aside from those two items, it was a wonderful stay!

We are in Historic Lancaster frequently. This if the first time renting a house. It was fantastic. Blocks from all that we love. Central market, the Fulton Theater and Josephines restaurant. We had some health issues so part of party could not come but the third floor for a family will be perfect next time. Also the kitchen was well equipped with a coffee pot, wine glasses and any thing else we could have needed. Thank you!!!!

Our stay was fine, the location was amazing & the parking spot in back was SO convenient. The hosts also allowed us an early check in which was a total life saver as we were traveling with a toddler. However we did not believe this was a 9.8 star stay. It seems like the cleaning crew went on vacation and never came back. Right off the rip we noticed there was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms or in the kitchen. There was a significant amount of dust/debris on the decor, trim, window sills. There was hair on the downstairs toilet, leftover used soaps in the 2nd floor shower and hair in the second floor shower. The third floor bathroom caulk/grout lines were moldy/mildewy. The mattresses in the double room on the second floor were miserably worn and loud/creaky. Our feet and socks were brown from walking around the house. The patio furniture seemed mildewy so we weren’t able to sit out there. The towels had what looked like makeup stains on them. And there were a slew of “landlord” quick fixes throughout the home including, several floor boards on the second floor that seemed to be hanging on by a thread. If you stepped on them you would feel the whole board give way under your foot. Another being the door on the second floor shower must’ve broke and it was replaced with a white shower curtain that was discolored and icky along the bottom. We enjoyed having a full kitchen & house wasn’t dirty enough for us to go through the hassle of leaving. But we won’t stay here again.
