character house in the heart of the village

Ermes‘ house really surprised us - in a positive way. Some reviews remarked that the house was not clean enough. We found a tidy, cozy place, equipped with everything we needed and a host (Ermes) who welcomed us with a Long tour around his house. We spent a great week close to the village center!

Lots of good features including great pool for the kids and lovely garden. Open staircase was dangerous for young children. Comfortable beds but bed linen wasn’t available despite request. We were reluctantly provided with poor quality sheets etc Some good trips out to Collioure and Ceret.

An excellent home for exploring Argeles .

Property was ok but to be honest the facilities were below what we expected from the description. The appliances worked ok but had seen better days . Although presented tidily it was dusty around the sofas tables and glasses ( some were greasy and not cleaned properly) . Upstairs air conditioning was outside the bedrooms so unless all rooms have doors open the rooms would be unbearable - the door on the 2nd floor into the bedrooms is a flimsy makeshift affair. Outside garden ok but our dog was unable to use it after we spent first day trying to clear him from fleas - something we think is below the air conditioning unit in the corner as he was trying to get into a hole there. The owner did respond to our issue with the pool, he was a decent guy but to be honest for the money paid we were disappointed The good location right in centre of Angeles village is not only reason to justify the price charged.. On arrival he used his neighbour who speaks English to help welcome us and that was a pretty quick intro.We left the property clean and tidy and typical of the communication ( the owner did not give. Us any arrival info until we prompted him on day of arrival, on leaving he sent us a message in reply to us telling him we left early addressing us with payment info relating to a previous client of his, so not even addressing is by our correct name.
