Bay front camp on the island with a brand new 400 foot lighted fishing pier with boat access. Crab and fish off the pier!!! Wonderful panoramic view of the bay!! Less than 1 block from the beach with public beach access right across Hwy 1.
This camp has 3 bedrooms / 3 full baths and sleeps up to 12. Too nice to be called a camp. Plush furniture with stainless steel appliances and white panel cabinets all sitting on top of vinyl waterproof wood look flooring.
All linens, pillows and towels are provided. We have coffee pot and Keruig. We provide a pack and play. The downstairs area has a BBQ pit, complete boiling pot facilities, fish cleaning station and picnic tables. The spacious covered porch is raised to admire the beauty of Caminada bay! The porch has tables, chairs and a swing. Great fishing & crabbing right from the camp pier.
All of these amenities make this camp a fisherman's retreat and an excellent family vacation.
RV hookup is available directly behind camp.

Overall, we had a good stay and enjoyed our trip. I’m leaving this review as constructive feedback because I think this property has a lot of potential.Parking was a little tight, especially when towing a boat, partly because the neighboring property had several visitors. The grounds could use some attention—the grass was tall, the area under the camp was muddy, and the picnic table on the upper deck had a rotten bench. The swing hardware was also heavily rusted from the salt air. The listing mentioned a boiling pot, but we couldn’t find one. The barbecue pit is in need of replacement, and the downstairs area could use some TLC.The hose downstairs for rinsing off the boat and trailer was a great feature, and we appreciated the lights and electrical outlets on the pier for charging boat batteries. A few more cleats on the dock would make tying up easier.The beds were comfortable, and the AC worked great despite the summer heat. The showers had plenty of hot water, but the showerheads could use updating. We also couldn’t get the TVs working in two bedrooms, and a larger coffee maker would be nice for groups.Adding a handrail to the stairs leading down to the pier would make it much safer for elderly guests and anyone with balance issues.Overall, we enjoyed our stay but expected a little more for the nightly price. The poor fishing was simply due to a recent tropical storm that left the water muddy and windy, so that’s certainly not the owner’s fault.

The camp / rental was very nice. The location on the bay with the pier make it a great spot. The camp is clean and well maintained. The interior is very comfortable with nice furnishings and appliances. One opportunity for improvement is the condition of the outdoor cooking equipment; the grill was deteriorated to the extent that it could not be used and the boiling pots for crabs and shrimp can also be improved.

The house specifically the kitchen and bathrooms could’ve been cleaned better. The yard was in terrible shape with trash thrown all over and looked like the grass had never been cut.
