About this cabin rental

Eagle Cabin is perfect for a small group of friends & family, a relaxing retreat, or a couple celebrating a special event. Cooking seasonings and spices are not included.

With rustic log furnishings, solid oak floors, knotty pine ceilings, antique carved eagles, and nature inspired art, our cabin epitomizes mountain living.

Our well-equipped large kitchen with stainless appliances and pine cabinets is a joy to cook in. Or grill a meal outdoors with fresh mountain air on our stainless steel propane grill. Eat at the log pine table and pine breakfast bar or outside on the picnic table under towering pines.

Play board games, use our DVD library, relax in the 2 comfie backyard hammocks listening to birds chirp and flutter through the pines, and enjoy the serenity of Green Valley Lake on our quiet and tree lined street. Stay connected with Eagle Cabin's WIFI.

Whether your idea of a vacation is taking it easy or exploring, Green Valley Lake has it covered. Watch your favorite Netflix show in PJ's on our smart TV, drinking a cup of cocoa, in front of a cozy fire. Or hike through forest trails a 2 minute walk away, sled on local hills during winter, or take a leisurely 15 minute walk to the sparkling lake for a summer swim.

Enjoy views of the national forest and stream from the spacious master suite and intimate master suite deck.

Guest access
The entire single level 3 bedroom, two bathroom cabin, with no interior stairs, is included. There are 2-3 parking spaces (2 in snow and with larger cars, and 3 small cars in times of no snow) in front of the cabin. A washer and dryer are available.

Getting around
It is best to purchase groceries before heading up the mountain, as selection is very limited once at Green Valley Lake.

Eagle Cabin is only 6 miles from Snow Valley Resort and the Snowdrift Tubing Park. Big Bear is about 18 miles away, which is a 30 min drive in good weather and traffic. Lake Arrowhead is also about 15 miles away.

About Green Valley Lake
Green Valley Lake is a sparkling small lake surrounded by forest, with only 300 full time residents. There is a small general store and a diner style eatery. In winter, or during fall and spring snow days, snow chains are required.

Halfway between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear, Green Valley Lake is at the highest elevation in the San Bernardino National Forest, receiving more snow than Big Bear.

From Memorial Day to Labor Day the lake offers pedal boat, row boat, kayak, and paddleboard rentals. You are not allowed to bring your own watercraft to Green Valley Lake. Swimming is open in summers for a per person fee at the Green Valley Lake beach area. There is a dog water play area at the lake. Numerous hiking trails surround the Green Valley Lake area.

The cabin was immaculate, and the house was warm, cozy, and set up well. There were just two of us, though the cabin sleeps many more. We chose it largely because it is pet-friendly and a single story (my wife has some mobility issues). We had initially planned to stay at there a almost a month earlier, but heavy rains were predicted, and the owner was kind enough to contact me to warn us. As a result, we rebooked. It was an incredibly quiet neighborhood, and most of the nearby homes appeared to be unoccupied. Although there is a small general store nearby, we had been advised to bring everything that would be needed during our stay. Running Springs, with a larger general store, is 20-30 minutes away. I would strongly recommend that guests arrive during daylight hours to avoid the winding roads through the mountains and to access the house key inside the lockbox that was somewhat of a challenge in the dark, chilly climate. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and the owner was incredibly accommodating on several occasions. I only wish that we had been able to stay longer, but commitments at home prevented that option.

The property description and details on VRBO were all very accurate. It was perfect for our group consisting of four adults and three small dogs. We had a restful and enjoyable stay. Flo and Steven were great hosts. They had a welcome sign and a bottle of wine for us. How nice is that!! We all enjoyed their hospitality very much. They were prompt and helpful in their communications. Will definitely recommend to others looking for some quiet time. By the way, there was a Fourth of July parade in town that brought everyone out in great spirit. Small town but very closely knit. We loved it!!

We had a great time. It was very relaxing stay. Very clean and we could tell they've done a good job of remodeling. Steve was very pleasant to deal with.
