About this house rental
This home is located on one of the most sought-after streets in San Fernando—just minutes from the Metrolink and within a 20–30 minute drive to many of Los Angeles’ top attractions. It’s the perfect spot for families or groups looking to relax and explore all that LA has to offer!
Please note, there is a separate guest unit located behind the main house. Guests staying in that unit access it via the side gate and porch, ensuring privacy for all.
A charcoal grill is available for your use—just bring your own charcoal and enjoy!
This is a peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood. Out of respect for our neighbors, we kindly ask that there be no parties, loud gatherings, or excessive noise.
The city of San Fernando has its own police department, and they are known for being responsive and attentive to any concerns.

We want to reassure future guests that a licensed pest management company inspected the home and confirmed there is no infestation. The roach seen was an American roach, which can occasionally enter through sinks in spring. We had the pest control spray the perimeter of the house, which is a preventative treatment to avoid future issues.
Additionally, our HVAC company identified a burnt wire, which has been repaired. It was a routine maintenance issue, and we don’t expect any further A/C problems.

Everything was nice and clean when we arrived and the space was beautiful! a little confused about one of the bedroom doors having cutouts on the top and bottom, but it was a lovely home!

We appreciated the safe neighborhood and the house feeling like a home, especially so arriving with kids. No questions at all about cleanliness was a plus! The kitchen was very user-friendly whether you're a light cook or a serious chef, and the internet was highly stable. Really, it was definitely a "plug and play" rental and felt comfortable and cozy. A little personal perk too was the sense of the original 1950s house but with very helpful modern upgrades. If I could offer 3 suggestions, it would be black-out curtains for all rooms, a newer full mattress in the bedroom with the two beds, and white noise machines as I believe there was regular train service in the distance... that one may not affect others, but also it may too. In the big picture though, this is a well-done rental and a smart decision we made.

I made the mistake of not reading through the other reviews before booking so I’d suggest starting there. The house is cute, the beds are comfortable, the patio is nice. It was 20 min to Magic Mountain and 20 min to Universal.
But it’s true that there are post it notes all over the house reminding you to not do this and make sure you do that. Don’t close the bathroom door or it will fall off, don’t open the fridge next to the microwave, don’t use the A/C too much. The kitchen rugs are also taped to the ground with packing tape which was odd.
I also made the mistake of assuming there would be shampoo and conditioner or SOAP like all the VRBO’s I’ve stayed at for 6 years. When we realized in the middle of kids baths and messaged the owner, they responded that it’s not required or listed under amenities.
So just understand that this is purely a business to them and being truly comfortable isn’t possible when you’re worried you’re going to break a rule.
