About this house rental

Domstolat is a historic country house located on the Bobr River in the picturesque village of Janowice Wielkie, close to Rudawy Park and the Giant Mountains. The perfect base for outdoor adventures. This holiday home offers space for up to 12 people.

Domstolat offers two complete holiday homes under one roof. Domstolat A and Domstolat B each having their own entrance. A and B can be connected internally to create one large holiday home Domstolat C.

This holiday home, Domstolat A, dates back to 1906 and has been lovingly renovated. Many authentic features have been preserved. It's like stepping back in time, but with all the comforts of today.

The house has a large garden with garden furniture and a trampoline, a hammock, and a barbecue. The barn is an indoor playground for children with a sandbox, slide, swing, and table tennis.

The fairytale environment of the village Janowice Wielkie offers numerous opportunities for hiking, cycling, horse riding and rock climbing. The area is known for its multitude of old castles, fortresses, monumental monasteries, spa and wellness resorts.

The friendly local manager, Pawel, also speaks excellent German and English and is always helpful.

What do guests say?

"Domstolat A is a beautiful, luxurious holiday home, very tastefully furnished, with a large, beautiful garden and an additional play barn. The house is located in a lovely village, not far (on foot, by car, or by train) from many sightseeing, hiking, and cultural opportunities, including a wealth of great restaurants at reasonable prices. We really enjoyed the nearby Bobr River and the birdwatching! Pawel, the local contact, is super helpful and friendly. All in all, simply wonderful – we plan to return!"

"Authentic with the old furniture and tiled stoves. It's nice that many of the old features (tiles, stoves, wooden floorboards, doors, the double-glazed windows) have been preserved, even if the ravages of time have taken their toll. But that certainly inspires more imagination than a hotel room."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Domstolat this past month. The house was nicely furnished with everything that we needed (and beds were comfortable as well!). The surroundings were perfect - we got to know the cows in the field next door, and the locals as we walked every morning to the village to get fresh bread and breakfast treats. And of course, Pawel, the caretaker, is a true hospitality ambassador. He was there quickly if there was a problem (which were very few) and helpful with information on what to see and do. If you want a country experience we recommend Domstolat. There is lots to see and do from walking, hiking, skiing in the winter, exploring castles and palaces, small towns with great restaurants .. and all of great value. Go and stay - you won't regret it ... we didn't!

This big countryside house has been perfectly renovated with a great eye for detail. All rooms are incredible spacious, beautifully decorated and with great views. All in all giving a luxuous feeling. We felt at home immediately. The house is located in the lovely Polish hillside, where tourism is slowly emerging. We enjoyed cycling and walking trips in the area. For the kids the walking tour up hill, through the woods to an impressive castle ruin was one of the highlights (10 minutes by car to the start of the walk) As we were with 5 adults and 4 lively children the spacious house and even more spacious garden was a perfect location for running and playing around without disturbing anyone. The big 'pippi longstocking' garden, full of daisies was great for relaxing, outdoor dinners and all kind of children's activities. But the biggest attraction for the children was no doubt the peaceful creek that runs in front of the house. Not deep, so also little children can play in it, with the rocks and trying to catch the very little fish. And of course getting wet! For children the house and its direct surroundings is enough excitement, no need for anything more! When we organised a trip, they always wanted to go back to the house as soon as possible...they loved it! Almost forget, in the garden also a big fireplace is available. Our week in Domstolat was great! All the adults in our group returned home feeling superrelaxed, and the children had a great holiday (and did not want to go home) Kind Regards, Cleo / Rotterdam
