Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. 2 decking areas with garden furniture. Allocated space for 1 small/medium car in car park; additional on road parking. No smoking.. Coastal Gem is ideally situated on a quiet pleasant avenue in Weymouth, just a short ½ mile walk from the town centre and ¼ mile from the beach and sea front. This split-level apartment is perfect for couples or a family of up to four looking for a relaxing break close to all amenities. Internally, the property features contemporary furnishings and offers an open plan living space on the ground floor. The living area is comfortably furnished with a two-seater sofa, which is also a double sofa bed, an armchair, beanbag and a 50" Smart TV where you can look forward to settling down to plan your itinerary with a glass of wine or catch up on your favourite TV shows. A dining table with four chairs is perfect for sitting down to a hearty breakfast in preparation for a busy day exploring the coast. Upstairs on the first floor you will find a spacious bedroom with a kingsize bed, 32" Smart TV and a double sofa bed. The bathroom has a corner bath with a shower over it, a towel rail, sink, toilet and a shaving point. Externally, there is a large furnished outdoor space with two decked seating areas, perfect for relaxing with a glass of something after a busy day.
The bustling seaside town of Weymouth is packed full of a good variety of high street shops and quirky independent stores situated in the charming lanes, plus there are plenty of pubs and restaurants to enjoy. Weymouth Bay is only minutes away and provides fantastic conditions for kite surfing, wind surfing and sailing. The beach is superb and consists of sand which sweeps around the bay, changing to shingle along the extended promenade. All the usual facilities are on hand, Punch & Judy shows, swing boats, trampolines, a volleyball court and Weymouth’s famous sand modeller. Take a stroll along the harbour to the stone pier, and along the way take your pick at sampling the harbourside fish and chips, or stop at one of the pubs or coffee shops along the way for refreshment.
For cycling devotees, the property is in a fantastic location due to the Olympic cycle paths. The public gardens, coach and rail stations, leisure facilities of Lodmoor Country Park, Radipole Lake and nature reserves are all nearby. Nearby attractions are Weymouth Sea Life Centre, Deep Sea Adventure, Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World, which all provide a great day out. For those in search of culture, Portland Castle is nearby and is considered to be one of King Henry VII’s finest coastal forts. Literary fans should head to Hardy’s Cottage, the former home of Thomas Hardy, which has remained largely unchanged from the time Thomas lived there, and is where he wrote ’Under the Greenwood Tree’ and ’Far from the Madding Crowd’.

This lovely apartment, in a quiet area, is handily situated for the station, the beach and the town centre, and comes well equipped, especially the kitchen, with everything you need for an independent stay in Weymouth. Good WiFi throughout the apartment and a great TV, with Netflix, in the lounge. The good sized bedroom, with large bed, also has a TV and perfectly adequate en suite. There was no reason to contact the owner, Marilyn, during our stay because nothing went wrong, but I feel sure she would have sorted out any problems quickly and efficiently. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment for anyone visiting Weymouth.

Nice clean place, good sized bedroom and bed. Parking could be difficult for some. A freezer in the downstairs cupboard would be appreciated for those self catering Owners very helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay here. A brilliantly stocked place in general, but specifically an amazingly stocked kitchen. It was so clean when we got there even when they had someone else move out in the morning of the day we arrived.They had a lovely outdoors area which would've been lovely to eat at, but unfortunately the weather didn't allow us this on our visit.A very good location with easy access to a number of supermarkets or a Tesco express is a walk away. And the beach is within easy access too.If I came back to the area, I would definitely stay here again.

A brilliant base for exploring Weymouth and the local area. Clean, warm and comfortable with everything you’d need for a stress free holiday. Communication regarding parking and entry to the property was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend Coastal Gem. Thankyou!
