Welcome to Poppy’s Outpost, a 3-bedroom, 2-bath family retreat on the quieter side of the Smokies, with room for up to 8 guests.
Named in honor of Poppy Valentine, whose family once called this land home when it was part of the family farm and nursery, Poppy’s Outpost is all about slowing down, spreading out, and spending time together.
There’s plenty to enjoy without ever leaving. Let the kids run and play in the large green space, challenge the family to cornhole or a board game, fire up the grill for dinner, or unwind in the hot tub after a day in the mountains. As evening settles in, gather around the fire pit, pull up a chair, and enjoy a quieter side of East Tennessee.
Inside, you’ll find comfortable spaces designed for families to relax together, along with board games and an arcade cabinet for rainy days and laid-back evenings.
When you're ready to explore, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cosby hiking trails, Rocky Top Sports World, and downtown Gatlinburg are all within easy reach.

Overall good. The manager requires you to physically come to the office to get the code. We asked for a remote check in and they accommodated. One note this house is right on HWY 321 which is the main 2 lane road coming into Gatlinburg from NC. Hot tub is right at the road. It does have a half wall privacy divider but they could have brought the wood slats further to give complete privacy. Just a few negatives. We were visited by mice overnight. Also ants inside the house. They need pest control for sure but otherwise it was a cute nice home.
