About this cabin rental
Welcome to The Hawks Nest Cabin (@thehawksnestcabin), a contemporary 1155 sqft. cabin nestled above The Delaware River just 2 minutes past the iconic Hawks Nest Highway. With breathtaking views from the 20+ windows, a hot tub, a fire pit, river access and a comfy living space, this charming cabin is the perfect private getaway for a couple, family or group of friends.

We are located on the border of Glen Spey and Sparrow Bush. This is where NY, NJ & PA all meet. Overlooking The Delaware River, the cabin is the perfect location for outdoor activities. We are just 10 mins. from Port Jervis where you can find general stores, restaurants & bars.
You will have access to the full space including a washer/dryer in the basement. Exclusion include and are limited to the basement crawl space and shed.
A short dirt road will lead you to this natural knotty pine Catskill haven. The home is furnished with 2 queen beds and a full size sleeper sofa, all within an open concept loft. The optimal amount of guests is 2-4 (sleeper sofa is always an option for lucky numbers 5 & 6). A work station/reading nook & smart TV are located in the loft as well.
On the main floor you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen for your cooking pleasures, a dining table for six, a chic living room with a cozy wood burning fireplace, and a bathroom.

Driving around the Catskills is not only easy it is absolutely beautiful. There are also taxi services available if need be. Explore the great outdoors and take it all in.
The cabin is not childproof. Examples: The wood burning fireplace gets very hot and the natural stone walkway is potentially unsafe for an unsupervised child. Family bookings are welcomed with the condition that parents take responsibility for the safety of their children.
The private river access is across the road. This does require a short walk or drive,
The sleeper sofa pulls out to the size of a full size bed but is not a mattress pull-out.
We recommend that guests bring slippers as some of the nail heads protrude slightly from the wood floorboards.
The Hot tub is available year round.
Clean linens are provided for each guest and beds are made like in the pictures but we do not provide flat sheets.
We do not guarantee that there is cooking oil, pam, butter or aluminum foil.

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your wonderful cabin. My husband and I and our dog found the accommodations perfect. You have thought of everything to make visitors welcome and comfortable. The grill and kitchen were functional and well stocked. My favorite thing was the nightlight/reading lamps on the bed. These were great to get down the steps at night without turning on the overhead lights. The cabin provided that "get away" feel while being close to great restaurants, cute towns and hiking trails.
Would definitely recommend.

Great spot with river view, lovely wooden interior for cozy cabin feel. Wood stove for a nice evening by the fire, but modern heating. Well appointed kitchen. Hot tub fantastic. Fire pit looks awesome but didn’t get to use. On a scenic road along the Delaware, 10 mins to port jervis restaurants and bowling alley memory lanes. Milford worth the trip, great Main Street walkable shopping. Raymondskills falls was cool. Nice owners very easy to communicate. To turn the shower on, pull the little knob UP!

My husband and I stayed at Hawks Nest Cabin for a quick Anniversary vacation.
The cabin is so welcoming when you drive up- tucked away just enough. It was very clean and inviting ( has everything you need). It’s exactly as pictured. Maxwell was quick to respond if we had questions.
Hawks Nest Highway is close by… make sure you check that out at sunrise! Gorgeous!
The cabin- views from every window were beautiful- each a unique perspective. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the mornings, watching the River roll by, listening to nature ( and a few cars every so often).
We used the fire pit one evening as the sun went down- such a relaxing space- again listening to nature and the fire.
We found the River access… wow! Make sure you check it out.
We spent the days out hiking, so I wish we had an extra day there just to enjoy the deck a bit more- would have loved to sit and read a book, and just fully enjoy the space.
One minor thing- the tv placement is a bit awkward. We wound up lighting a fire in the fireplace on the main floor, and watching on our iPad instead. With everything else this cabin has to offer, it’s not a big deal at all.
