We absolutely loved our stay here. The house was perfect for us within walking distance of two lovely restaurants and an amazing bakery. Jean and francois could not do enough for us and were the perfect hosts. We will definitely be coming back soon.

Second time visiting villa de Collines and as before it was fantastic. The villa is perfect and the pool nicely heated. Location is excellent within easy reach of many of the regions attractions yet remote enough to be away from the hustle. Added to this Jean & Francoise are great hosts. We will definitely be back.

We had one of the best family holidays in this house from 12-19 August 2017. The house itself was incredibly spacious and very well maintained. We immediately felt comfortable and at home. The pool in particular was a highlight for the children who spent hours playing in it. The location is great too, it's quiet but close enough to lots of interesting places, just a short drive away and you could walk into town very quickly to pick up fresh bread etc. Jean was incredibly friendly and full of fantastic suggestions of things to do and see. We couldn't recommend this house enough!

Provided you have a car, access to Alsace region is easy. Beautiful area. Could not get better hosts. Thank you Jean and Francoise for making us feel so welcome. We were 3 couples and found the house to be perfect, but can see that families would also have a wonderful time.Thoroughly recommended! !

We stayed in the Villa des Collines for two weeks in the Summer of 2015.
As a group we have stayed in around 10 French holiday rentals over the years. This is our favourite.
As a fairly large group of 2 adults, 2 grandparents and 4 kids, we decided to hire the entire house - the main villa and the separate loft. This worked well as the two areas can be easily opened up and lived in as a large house. The large airy hallways, big bedrooms and luxurious bathrooms allowed us to really spread out and enjoy ourselves, but we could have readily fitted in the main villa.
The villa is really well presented - nicely decorated with high quality furniture. The decked outdoor area is a particular high point - with lovely wicker chairs, a huge hardwood table, a fancy gas BBQ, table tennis, garden games and a heated pool.
Our children had an absolute whale of a time - petting the local horse, racing up and down the lane on bikes, playing in the orchards, splashing in the pool. There we some tears shed on the last day.
Equipment wise - there were ample quantities of everything - chairs, crockery, cutlery, pots/pans, towels, televisions, stereos, etc - and all of it high quality and in perfect working order.The owners have really taken time and trouble to create a comfortable environment, such that it feels more like staying in someones home than a rental.
We usually visit the Dordogne region and this was our first time in the Alsace. The area has everything going for it - beautiful and interesting towns, stunning scenery, wine routes, cycling paths, charming villages, friendly locals, superb transport links, castles, theme parks, the list goes on. At the end of our two weeks, we felt we needed more time to explore this delightful and perhaps deceptively understated part of France.
The property is very private and peaceful and the owners are very respectful of that privacy. However, if you need anything they are right there, across the (extremely quiet) street. They clearly love the place they are lucky enough to live in and are enthusiastic about helping you to explore it - should you want to. In fact, they really were the most warm, friendly and helpful owners we have ever encountered.
In summary then - fantastic, we thoroughly recommend Villa des Collines. We shall be going back as soon as possible, which says it all really.
