In the Alsatian tradition, the bear is a warm and protective figure. This luxury holiday apartment perfectly embodies this spirit. Located on the ground floor of our 17th-century house, this charming gîte is an invitation to Alsatian "hygge": a cozy, easy-to-access retreat for a peaceful stay.

Thick stone walls and lime plaster create perfect natural bioclimatic comfort. This cocoon stays cool in summer and incredibly warm in winter, free from chemical fumes for a healthy night's sleep.

A compact yet comfortable space, featuring a natural stone basin, antique wood, and organic materials for an authentic wellness ritual.

The Little Bear offers the rare luxury of a small outdoor seating area right outside your door, on a quiet historic square. The perfect spot to watch the village wake up with a coffee or to enjoy a quiet aperitif after exploring the Wine Route.

Our holiday lodgings in Riquewihr are located in 2 different places in the old historic village.
1/ Charming and chic lodgings of the Rempart of the Year 1291.
They form a set of 6 exceptional lodgings around a small garden: 4 of them are located in an old Renaissance house built in the year 1580 on the first rampart of Riquewihr erected in 1291. The property faces the famous vineyard the Schoenenbourg which dominates the village; 2 other apartments complete the series in an adjacent house dating from the 17th century.
All these lodgings have been designed to meet the official 5-star standards for the furnished tourist apartments category, as set out by the Ministry of Tourism.
A small garden with a medieval design gives an exquisite touch of refinement to this original ensemble. The « LITTLE BEAR***** » apartment is located here.
2/ The lodgings of the Rempart from the year 1500
A set of 3 romantic, elegant and comfortable lodgings, decorated in the purest Alsatian tradition. These exceptional lodgings are located on the second belt of ramparts of Riquewihr, completed in the year 1500.
The walls on the west side of our gîtes are made of the rampart itself. The facades on the east side have the appearance of typical Alsatian half-timbered houses. They are quietly located.

Very nice apartment for two. Great location in the middle of anything- but still surprisingly peaceful in the garden and yard.

Host provided us a lot of usefull detailed information upfront witch made our stay very relaxed. Appartement was located in the quiet area very near the centre of the town. Parking was easy, just outside the centre by using a special parking lot aquired at Office du Tourisme.
Appartement was provided with literally almost everything.

We loved our 3 night stay in "Little Bear". The exposed beams and decor provided a great ambiance, fitting with Riquewihr's historical character. It was quiet and peaceful. A perfect base for exploring the Alsace region.
