Checked in for a four night stay with a family of eight. Location was good and I appreciated the welcome snacks and toiletries provided in the bathrooms but soon discovered we only had seven bath towels for eight people and the tv would not turn on. I contacted the host and felt he was not responsive. He never addressed the towels at all but the next day a housekeeper did drop off towels and I mentioned the tv to her. She called her supervisor who offered to bring new batteries for the remote which fixed the issue. Overall we felt the property was dirty and rundown. The microwave was filthy with food left behind and completely unusable until we cleaned it. The shag throw rugs everywhere seemed very dirty. The Swamp Cooler ac system is on the roof between the two upstairs bedrooms and rattles constantly. One of the booking features was “backyard retreat”. The entire area was overgrown with a large amount of old dead limbs stacked by the fence. The hot tub had debris in it, possibly due to the ill fitting cover so we did not feel comfortable using it. The grill was also very dirty so we did not use it either. If someone was traveling with a dog the yard would have been ok but definitely not usable as recreation space for children. There were not many reviews but the property had a high rating. I have no idea how this property was rated at 9.6 out of 10 by previous renters.
