About this house rental
Unbeatable views and location: There is no property like the historic "Las Piedras" in all of Vieques. Built into a green rock it juts into the ocean with spectacular views of coral reefs below and Caribbean Islands from decks, pool and all 4 bedrooms.
Our private, gated property has its own entrance to La Chata beach. Swim and snorkel from your "front yard" or explore morning tide pools.
Fully refurbished, the villa offers ample space for entertaining indoors and out, and comfort for up 8 guests.
Note to summer renters: As with the majority of villas on Vieques, only the 4 main bedrooms are air-conditioned. The rest of the house is cooled by ceiling fans and the ample trade winds, but is not "hotel cold" if that is what you're used to.

Las Piedras has multiple levels for privacy and very nice common areas both inside and outside. The dining area only accommodates 6 people for meals. There are 6 chairs around the kitchen table and 6 bar stools around the batr.Just a note- the tile floors can be very slippery.It has beautiful ocean views, direct beach access where swimming and snorkeling are good BUT only on calm non-windy days. But if you drive south, there are many calm beaches without wind where you can swim and snorkel.Las Piedras is close to Isabel II for good restaurants and food shopping which is very convenient. I understand that beach houses have more wear and tear from the moist air, but they also need to be maintained consistently to keep up with deterioration. This house is tired, a bit rundown. For example, many windows either don't open or leak when it rains. (7 out of 10 windows in the master bdrm did not work. Also it would take minimal cost to have a toaster that works, a toaster oven, to provide kleenex, napkins, paper towels, extra toilet paper, kitchen towels. Small stuff, but it makes a difference and would be appreciated. Overall we did enjy our stay at Las Piedras! And if you are lucky, you might get a chance to play with Ginger & Pookie. The house was fine 8 out of 10. The location is simply the best!

Excellent house and location, beautiful views, friendly host and perfect pool. Only downside is host trying to charge us a hefty damage fee for a door that we didn’t damage. Storm
winds pushed a portion of glass door loose, we actually tried to fix that and pointed it out to the host. House stays very wet inside but the bedrooms stay very nice with the heat pump ac units. Other than bizarre damage claim an ideal stay for the group.
