We had rented a different property from Amélie and Julien a few years ago, so we knew we liked the neighborhood (Dizac in Le Diamant), with its view of the hills and a short walk to the beach. The bungalow is charming, and decorated with style. Inside there's a bed with a separate WC and a separate shower, a small closet, and a comfortable chair. Outside is the kitchen, dining table, another seating area, a small pool, and deck chairs. The outdoor area is beautifully planted and is just such a soothing place to sit, eat, relax, read a book, etc. It's the perfect romantic spot! At night lights come on in the garden and make it look just enchanting. We cooked in the kitchen (no oven, a microwave yes, stovetop, and there's an electric griddle that is great for grilling) and it worked out well. Also, there is AC inside (in case you have concern about mosquitoes and it's warm at night). We interacted with Amélie, and she was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I highly recommend this property. The photos and description are very accurate. I like Le Diamant -- the beach is a fantastic place for long walks (although the water is a bit rough). The town has boulangeries, a market, boucherie, etc., and a few restaurants, so it's quiet but also convenient. Convenient to Les Salines and Les Anses d'Arlets also, with great beaches for swimming. I hope to rent this property or another of Amélie's places in the future! Uncomplicated, pretty, and easy.
