Current Situation is a private mountain cabin vacation rental in Gatlinburg Tennessee located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains between Ober Gatlinburg and downtown Gatlinburg. This secluded Gatlinburg cabin offers a convenient mountain location with easy access from a well maintained main route, level parking for up to three vehicles, and easy entry into the home.
The chalet is surrounded by mature trees and lush mountain scenery and offers beautiful Smoky Mountain views. Guests may even have the opportunity to see black bears and other wildlife in the natural wooded surroundings. The home is located under the Ober Gatlinburg gondola route and is less than one mile from Ober Gatlinburg and less than one mile from the Gatlinburg Parkway and downtown Gatlinburg.
Current Situation features four bedrooms plus an additional sleeping area and two and a half bathrooms. The master bedroom includes a king bed, private bathroom, coffee and wine bar, private balcony, and its own private level of the home. Two additional bedrooms each have a queen bed and the fourth bedroom has two twin beds. The main level media room provides an additional twin bed with a twin trundle and can be closed off for additional sleeping space.
The home has three levels of balconies providing multiple outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the mountain setting. The main level balcony features a private hot tub where guests can unwind after exploring Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor grill while taking in the peaceful wooded surroundings.
Inside, the chalet features soaring ceilings, a fireplace, comfortable living spaces, and large windows overlooking the surrounding trees and mountains. The home has recently been updated with new mattresses, new flooring, new couches, and maintenance improvements throughout the property to provide guests with a clean comfortable and welcoming vacation experience.
The fully stocked kitchen features stainless steel appliances and granite countertops along with cookware, pots and pans, baking dishes, cooking utensils, plates, glasses, and other essentials needed for preparing meals during your stay.

Fully stocked kitchen was great! It literally had anything you would need. Everything was offered you would need to start your trip. Had one issue and it was taken care of. Fit our family perfect for what we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

House is great. There are a few rails loose on main deck! We did see bears which was great. Nice stay.

The overall experience with this unit was just OK. The house was nice and had good views. The check in process was simple and direct. However it is hard to look past the cleanliness of the unit. The outside decks were absolutely covered in spider webs. Also there were tons of stink bugs throughout the unit especially in the upstairs window. There was either a roll of unused carpet or an extremely large rug on the stairs to the top floor which could have been dangerous if someone needed to walk down at night. Overall this place has extreme potential to be a nice little mountain cabin but it needs some serious work on the cleanliness to be more than Ok.
