Either our third or fourth stay at this house. It kind of feels like our holiday home. Francesco could not be more accommodating. House is perfect. Plenty of space for teenagers and young adults. Adequate facilities for cooking in house. Perfect location between Alassio and Laigueglia. Plenty to do but equally great to pop down to beach or rest in the house! Trains do not bother us at all, soon get used to them. I’m sure we will be booking to return again soon!

It was a very nice stay in the really large Appartement. Francesco is a Great Host and had a few good recommendations. Only slight disadvantage is the parking Situation and the very small Tunnel to reach the Appartement, but when you are there you have one of the greatest views at the sea we ever had. Alassio is a Great Place to be and we enjoyed also that we can reach Laigueglia with it s large lungomare … 5 of 5 (okay the trains are passing by, but we ignored them 😉)

Francesco was an excellent host on our arrival. He sorted out several problems with the apartment in the first few days.
The location is perfect as a stepping stone to cycling in the beautiful hills and valleys behind this section of the Ligurian coast. It's close to the sea - just 50 metres as the crow flies - and 25 minutes walk to the Carrefour supermarket.
The downside is that the house is only 25 metres from the railway line and trains run frequently all day. They start at 2 am, which meant none of us had a single undisturbed night's sleep without being woken three times. During the daytime if the window is open it is like being on a station platform when the trains go past and speech is impossible. The double glazing does help to dampen the noise but only to a degree.
The bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable but the sheets didn't fit. The ceiling fan is extremely effective.
We enjoy cooking when on holiday but the kitchen is very small and too poorly equipped to do anything other than simple dishes.
There is a lovely terrace facing the sea but we had to ask for some chairs to sit out and take advantage of the sun.
Alassio is a buzzy place with several very good restaurants.
