Romantic getaway on the Caribbean with private plunge pool.

Thanks so much to Joel/Lisa for sharing their exceptional rental property. Additionally, they were both incredibly helpful, offering super suggestions which greatly enhanced our first visit to and experience in Curacao. We especially enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the super ocean and sunset views. We found the house to be very comfortable and well-equipped. Enjoyed the plunge pool and easy access to snorkeling down the stairs/ladder. There were many nearby highlights/activities but to name a few of our favorites: beaches (get there by 9:00 am for best beach chairs locations), Kleine Knip, Grote Knip, Cas Abao); restaurants, Cactus Cafe, Shelterrock Paradise (on Friday, they have grilled/stuffed coconuts, and karaoke....fun, local experience/reservations recommended). Also, found D&D car rentals to be efficient, local, and cost-efficient option compared to typical, larger chains.. Again, thanks so much to our super hosts Joel/Lisa for sharing both their lovely rental property and local insights....which resulted in a very memorable, fun stay!

We had a very good stay. Thank you Joel and Lisa! We rented both sides of the duplex. They are almost the same, but the left/southern appears to be the "main" unit. The location is some of the best on the island. We did grocery shopping mainly in Wilmestad, at Centrum supermarket which is about 30 min drive. You can also buy fresh fish from the fishermen at Playa Paskado/Grandi which is 5 min drive north from Lagun. come there between 10AM -12 noon. The units have one staircase leading to the water. The last part is a ladder. We swam, snorkeled and Scuba dove directly from the villas. For diving, we would drop inflated BCDs tied to long ropes so they do not drift too far, ascend, and then put on BCDs in the water. A dive shop in Lagun is Bahia Divers. They charge 9 per tank. The sunsets were stunning! We would sit at the staircase landing, directly over water and watch the show every night.

We enjoyed our stay. The view was amazing and the condo is very comfortable. Loved being able to take stairs down to the water…we snorkeled several times a day and saw lots of amazing fish. The closest restaurant, Bahai was a great spot for dinner. Great food and great views. It is a ways to the closest grocery store, so you need to be organized. Joel and Lisa were easy to work with and very responsive. A great place if you want to chill out…and close to several of the best beaches on the island.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lisa and Joel’s and they were very helpful with giving recommendations on hiking trails and places to visit. The space is beautiful and so is the view. We really enjoyed the covered deck and dunk pool. Highly recommend a stay here. Hope to make it back again sometime. Laura and Don
