Vacation paradise on Rathbun lake

Owner was easy to communicate with. We loved how spacious the place was and it was a great fit for our large group. The pool and pool table were also a big hit.A couple things we wish were better (but did not ruin our stay): the property was not as clean as expected, and although the home is advertised to accommodate up to 14 guests, there were not enough extra blankets, pillows to comfortably support a group that size.

The online photos don’t do this place justice! It’s incredibly spacious, featuring two living areas, one nicely sized bedroom, and two large bedrooms with private bathrooms. The third bathroom was a big plus—it easily accommodated our group of 14 guys. Parking was plentiful and fit our four boats and trucks with no issue.The house is very family-friendly, with board games for kids and a pool table and poker table for adults. The swimming pool looked great, though we didn’t get to use it since the weather was a bit chilly for May. There’s a charcoal grill available, though a gas grill would’ve been convenient since town is about a 20-minute drive.The host was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend this place and would gladly stay here again. As an avid fisherman, I especially appreciated the easy boat access to Lake Rathbun just down the road. The early bird definitely gets the worm here!

It was great, we have already reserved the house for next year. The storm was crazy and knocked out internet so we couldn’t watch much tv which ok- we spent time in the pool. Great host and easy to chat with. Quick to help w issues. 10 breakers blown but he came right over and got us up and running again.
