In this unique studio cabin you will be staying in an updated 1908 quarters of the Nederland black smith. Walking distance to town, you are at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park offering pristine hiking trails, lakes, white water rafting, kayaking, fishing, climbing, backcountry skiing, and more! Eldora Ski Resort is a 10 min drive away. The Hobbit shares a quaint outdoor courtyard, gas fire pit & grill with the Gypsy Getaway just adjacent. Have 4 guests? Rent both!

The space
The Hobbit House is Located less than 2 blocks from the heart of Nederland offering restaurants, bars, communal office space/internet, library, bank, beautiful Barker Reservoir and loads of mountain character. Nederland is a funky town just 18 miles from Boulder, 45 minutes from Denver. Sitting at 8600ft above sea level, it is the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park offering pristine hiking trails, lakes, white water rafting, kayaking, fishing, climbing, backcountry skiing, and more. Eldora Ski Resort is a quick 10 min. drive or bus ride away! The Hobbit House is a private cabin on our home property and shares a common outdoor courtyard, outdoor gas fire pit, and grill with the Hobbit House rental just adjacent. Includes all utilities and wifi. No pets.
Have 4 guests? Rent both cabins! Renting both cabins makes for a special and unique private retreat.

We have fragile mountain plumbing. Please nothing down the toilet other than the RV toilet paper provided. Trap all food going down kitchen sink and dispose of in trashcan. No harsh chemicals like bleach, toilet bowl cleaner or Drain-o down the plumbing system.

Nice and quiet! I liked having a full size kitchen with a tea kettle. The electric fireplace kept the chill out. Could use a rain gutter over the door, a reading lamp by the big chair and the steps to the bathroom shortened in height some how, maybe 3 steps instead of 2. This property is not for the disabled.

Great host and a wonderful cozy little cabin. The cabin is very tastefully done with high-end finishes, excellent appliances and everything you could want. The location is was perfect for me. Just a short walk into town.
